We are tame compared to Husker Nation right now. I would not want to be Mike Riley right now. Their loss to Northern Illinois is unacceptable by their fans. Their fans are wanting the AD gone too.

Yeah ... talk about high expectations (and I'm a -- distant -- Nebraska fan). Some of the fan quotes are beyond vicious!

Oh wait, I guess it was just a methed out Ewoo cheerleader with facial hair that resembled whiskers.
 
As a Husker fan I kind of agree. Shitty coach after shitty coach. They were contenders for years and they can't crack the top 25 now. Rebuild it after you burn it to the ground.

I too am a Husker fan. I lived in Omaha for many years. They are my favorite BCS/FBS program. A few of my Nebraska friends told me, they recently extended Riley. Financially, it does not make a lot of sense to cut ties. They also advised me, they haven't been willing to spend money to do what it takes to get the right coach there. Riley was actually pretty highly thought of by most their fans when he was hired. The loss to Northern Illinois totally turned the tables on him. He does not have much support from the fan base now. He cannot afford anymore losses to inferior teams.

Pelini routinely won 10 or more games. Good thing they got rid of that success for an Oregon St coach that possible never won 10 or more. Good call

3 out of 7 years, never won their conference although they won their half and lost to Wisconsin in the championship 1 year. At that level of football, that doesn't keep your job, not at Nebraska. How long does Sabah have his job at Alabama if they never win the SEC and never contend for a national championship? They would have a new coach too.

In Vegas this weekend. Had Nebraska in a 3 game parlay. Home against NIU. Giving 12 points. 360 straight sell outs. They should win by 4 touchdowns at home. Cost me 600 dollars. I feel the husker nation pain!
