I suddenly realize

as I'm packing for my trip to Frisco, I have a LOT of maroon.

That said, I glance over just as my wife is packing a stylish pair of boots, and they have UM shoelaces. And just like that, I feel naked.

Maroon came to dominate my clothing slowly and quietly. Finally someone recognized me in a picture that didn’t show my face and when I asked how they knew, I was informed that it was because all my shirts are maroon. Now I can’t unsee it

When I watch replays of the 1995 playoff games, it’s very noticeable how all the fans are dressed in hunting and ski gear. Brown, green, navy. Hardly any Griz colors. I remember getting home from the chipper and going to Universal Athletic in the mall. A gal was sitting on a tall pile of National Champions Griz gear that had been delivered, getting it all sorted out. I walked by a couple hours later and it was all gone. That was a week and a day before Christmas so it all went fast.

I was there in my Maroon and Silver, but most were not as old as me. Burnt orange and baby poop yellow were not very becoming.

I just went thru my closet for the first time in many years. I removed 179 Griz shirts. Some still had tags on them. The Salvation Army donation store love me. I still have 127 different Griz shirts, sweaters, Jerseys and pullovers.
