It was mentioned today at MSU that ticket sales are already 1,000 ahead of the pace of last week as of this morning. Friday makes it tougher for people having to come long distances in the State and it is finals week for the students. Also, there will probably be an impact of having it on ESPN2. But all indications the crowds will be as big if not bigger than last week.

Finals are this week, IN fact one MSU player has a final at 4:00pm the day of the game. Another player also has a group project due on that Friday.

Technically, finals are next week. They can still have finals before then, but finals are technically next week.

I'm in a section with mostly old folks and have never seen anyone around me do this "pawing". But it does sound rather ridiculous. That being said, football games are all about having fun. And if some fans find it more fun by pawing at the air, have at it. I for one find it more fun to pass my bottle of Hot Dam around for "celebratory shots", but that's also frowned on by some. Whatever blows your skirt up.....just know some will probably make fun of you for it.

But as far as our fans being excited..... This IS a big deal for Cat fans. Many of the more pompous fans on this board like to point out how many times the Griz have been at this point before (which is true). But they still get excited about playoffs, night games and ESPN. As a fan base and a team, the Bobcats have EVERY right to be excited! Can't wait for the game.

It just don't seem right that the Griz aren't in the playoffs this year!
