I hope to see a good game on Thurs

I'm a Reno guy but have much respect for your program and have ever since our Big Sky days.

Obviously I'm hoping for a NV win but I do hope it's a good game.
I also hope Pacfic gives BC all they can handle.

I think a 12 seed and a game in SLC is a sign of respect for your program. Well done Griz.

You guys are fortunate to have a good coach with ties to the community & university. Hopefully he stays with you for a long time.

Our program has had mid-major success, so naturally ours coach is mentioned for other jobs.

I can't wish you luck on Thurs but I do wish your program continued success.

I am hearing Coach Fox may be headed back to K State where he used to be an assistant. That is the trouble with building a program, you keep losing good coaches. I am sure Nevada is paying Fox quite a bit more than our guy is making.

Fox is making $240K this year, and will probably get a 3 year extension and bumped up to $500K should he stay. Our attendence has gone from 4800 up to more than 8300.

From what I've seen so far, the Pack fans are a class act. We mid-majors have to stick together. If we lose to the pack, we'll be hoping for a Pack miracle against Boston College.

That would make me stay in Reno. K State is another Juco Junction in my opinion.

Actually, it's been quite a while since attendance was 4800 (with exception of 1999, when things were going to hell). I know this is nit picky, and Gris fans are thinking "who cares?", but it seemed like your post implied that increase was under Fox's tenure.

Talk about coaches moving on is a sign of success...nice problem to have.

Nevada attendance under the past four head coaches (national rank)

Mark Fox
2006 - 8371
2005 - 7926 (66)

Trent Johnson
2004 - 8061 (63)
2003 - 6805 (77)
2002 - 6051 (90)
2001 - 6275 (84)
2000 - 5884 (86)

Pat Foster
1999 - 4379 (?)
1998 - 7084 (70)
1997 - 6068 (79)
1996 - 6306 (85)
1995 - 6452 (87)

Len Stevens
1994 - 5557 (?)
1993 - 4427 (?)
1992 - 4820 (117)
1991 - 4680 (120)
1990 - 4818 (112)

we kind of merge the johnson/fox era into one. johnson's success at NV was due in large part to fox. johnson would be the first to acknowledge that. fox recriuted most of NV's top players.
