Huskies nailed by the refs.

Did you see that!. Locker leads them back. Third and goal and he breaks two tackles with two seconds left to a potential tie. He throws the ball over his shoulder in the air and gets a 15 yard unsportmanlike call for celebration. The try gets blocked from 35 yards out and BYU wins 28-27. I understand excessive celebration, but this was not it and the guy in the striped shirt decided the game. I guess the big sky isn't the only conference with questionable officials.

That was a horrible call. There was another one in the USF-UCF game. After a blocked FG was blown dead, a USF player was essentially DECLEATED by a UCF guy, but the PF call was on the BULL?!? Their BS excuse was that the USF player picked up the ball. How does that excuse what the Golden Knight did? I'm surprised that the benches didn't clear after that. It was about as bad as a beanball, and the dude got away with it.

Man. I hate the Huskies, but that was a completely bullshit call. The refs stole that. And now they are trying to justify it on Sportcenter.

Not sure how anyone says its a horsesh!t call. Pretty much within the rules. Sometimes "rules" suck for all the wrong reasons... I agree it shouldn't have been called, but rules are rules, even if they don't make sense (see NCAA....)

what did he do that was against the rule?

I watched it live and every replay known to man....if you are talking about jumping up andthrowing the ball backwards over his shoulder???/ that's a crock

Watch the ACC/SEC any given first down play...it was a bullshite call and I hate the Huskies.

Regardless of the call, the kicker should have made it from 35 yards on a straight shot. Blocked kick, my arse, he kicked it into the line. The announcers here looked at the replay and said that he hit the Husky guard in the helmet.

I am in no way defending the call against Locker. The new rule sucks and it needs to be changed - agian.

However, the Husky's kicker blew it. The kick was not even close.

It's a rule, plain and simple. There are some rules that don't make sense, IMO. I know why the rule is written, but these are kids. They should get excited. I don't think he was "showing up" BYU...

Pac-10 agrees w/ the refs: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3575847

The kicker blew it. About eight or nine years ago the Miami (Fla.) had some excessive celbration penalties and their kicker had to make somewhere around a 45 yard PAT which he made. Make the kick and go into OT. Its not like the ball was all the way over on the right hash.
