Huard Officially Transfers to Cal Poly

If here were truly as elite as people thought he was coming out of high school, or even 50% that good, he would not have dropped down a level. Speaks volumes he couldn't find his way to another P5, or even G5 roster for that matter.

And if had committed to the Griz you would be drooling over him. He had options to bigger programs, he chose to reunite with his former high school coach and teammate (Washington State WR transfer Reed Shempert). He said that he had learned two new offenses the last two years and did not want to transfer to another program where he would have to learn a third. He spent 4 years in the offense Cal Poly will be running next season under new OC Sheldon Cross.

Duh. That's the way we do things around here. As a Griz, he would be an amazing pickup. For anyone else, meh, he's overrated. It's not that hard to figure out. I'm not even joking, that's actually what I believe.

Exactly, and in fact there is proof if this right on the site. Take a look at the thread talking about the drop down QB they picked up... and how good they think he's going to be. Does not look to be anything special, and doesn't run the ball. Pretty sure Huard will prove to be much better than the new griz savior qb.

From what I hear, he did have P5 and G5 offers.

I'll believe he has talent when I see it on the field. Doesnt really matter what happens though, he was still grossly mis evaluated as a prep. Way to much stock put into his lineage.

Yeah, his lineage is the only reason he holds the state of Washington high school record for career passing yardage. Sure.

Lots of players who never sniff P5 football hold or break records like this ALL THE TIME. He played at a private high school against inferior talent. Just as a reference, his high school teammate, Sa'vell Smalls, who was also a 5 star and top 30 player come out of high school, went to UW as well and has subsequently done squat in his time there as well. I'm not sure referencing his illustrious high school career and stats really bolsters his credibility as a QB prospect at this point.
