Must have been written by a Virginia Tech alumnus, whatever. But really, it is the NCAA Tournament and by all consideration they can invite anyone they want; they didn't say they had to be fair, did they? It's just that the NIT used to catch all the teams that didn't impress enough and they then got invited to play their final game in Madison Square Garden, if they advanced far enough that is. But doesn't that tournament no longer exist these days? Heard it was bought out by the NCAA. Just wondering why 128 teams no longer in post-season play now down to 68, if not mistaken.
