I'm goin 10+. I really liked the way they played last night minus the FT shooting. You take that same lineup and bring in martin off the bench and that is an explosive, dynamic team.

I agree on the 10 plus. I watched the last 3 games and the Griz will be fine if they bring the intensity they had against UOP and CSF. The BSC winner could easily have 3-4 losses.

11 - 5 conference
17 - 12 overall

Projected Conference and overall records of all Big Sky Schools:
Northern Arizona....12 - 4...... 20 - 8
Montana.................11 - 5......17 - 12
Montana St.............11 - 5......19 - 10
Portland St.............10 - 6.......18 - 11
Weber St................ 9 - 7........14 - 14
Northern Col...........7 - 9........14 - 15
Eastern Wash.........6 - 10......11 - 19
Sac St.....................4 - 12.......7 - 21
Idaho St.................2 - 14.......5 - 24

Grizz only lose 2 games in conference
one game to Portland St and one to N Arz.
Grizz win the rest !!!

Grizz have been saving up their OT wins and...
Beat Portland State in OT to go the big dance !!

I think the Griz will be better than their preseason schedule might indicate. I see Tinkle making head way in toughening up this team. I think your two interior studs Hasquet and Strait are very discipline and do understand what Tinkle is up to, but the guards are a little soft and wild at times. As Rundle goes so does the Griz. Oh yea and needs to know when to lay it up and when to Jamb it home. I will say 11-5 seems right, BUT the Griz have the talent to finish with a few more wins.
The Cats will be in every game this conference season. If you want to take a win from the Cats you better be ready to play 40 minutes. This team is very discipline and it appears by conference we could have 4 players on any given night could put up major points. I am going to go 11-5 also, based on how they are playing, now. I will feel better after the Cat Griz game.

I am assuming that Portland State is for real, and I also think Weber will be a much better team come conference.

I will feel better too, that will be a W for the Griz, and an L for the cats. :thumb:

The outcome will depend upon Tinks ability to get the perimeter
players to run the offense. If the offense runs around Strait,
Hasquet, and Q no one should beat the Griz. However, if the
tendency is to run and gun and huck up 3's we could lose to the likes of northern Colorado.
I hope the former is true. Go Griz

I agree with your post to a degree. I think the O needs to be run on an inside/out basis as you suggest, but I don't see anyone going undefeated in league play. The long roadtrips and homecooking almost guarantee it. The SAC/NAU trip is one of the worst, fortunately the Griz have Sac on the second leg of it.

The BSC season has gotten off to a normal start as PSU gets beat at EWU. Not a surprise really, despite the high RPI rating PSU had going into the game, and the praise heaped on their coach by some on this board.

the griz have great talent, especially with their bigs, but not at the right positions. i don't like either rundles or martin at the point, and staudacher should be a two, not a makeshift three. teams in conference will be able to exploit these matchups. we miss sean watson. i'll take whatever we can get in conference.

tinks's critics make it sound like huse is winning with inferior talent but i think there's talent in bozeman at every position, especially the post. the cats are gonna be more formidable than many think.

next year the griz be outta sight.

City,

I think you would feel better about Cam if you had been at Fullerton. He started to come out of his slump at Santa Clara and played pretty well at CSF. He did have 4 TO's, but was mugged the whole game. You are right on about Watson and the cats. They are not going to sneak up on anyone this year.
