out coached before he gets the axe?

He has got worked by the last three teams that OU has played in bowl games.


Very over rated coach and a lot like Hauck.

They both are living off the winning traditions of the schools they coach for and they fail to meet expectations year after year. yeah, yeah I know OU won a NC a few years ago but really it's the FBS so it's arbitrary.
 
Dude, ALL coaches can't win ALL the time. Do you really hate every losing coach? ;)

Oh, I get it. This is Alpha's ploy to get Stoops fired so that when BH leaves, the Griz can hire him. If he can't win the championship at the upper level then maybe he can be successful at our level. Diabolical - yes. Brilliant - ?.

I still remember you saying Glanville is the greatest coach in the HISTORY of the BSC. Please remind all of us what he EVER won? I rest my case. :thumb:

I think I saw you getting a bit toasted last night. I got to Hooligans too late. Couldn't find a damn seat anywhere!

Living off the winning traditions of the school? Did you know that before Stoops was hired, the Sooners hadn't been to a bowl game in four years? He has gone to a bowl game every year he has been there. In 10 years he has won 6 Conference Championships and 1 National Championship. In the last 10 years his record is 109-24, the most wins by any Division 1-Football Bowl Subdivision school and the best record of any BCS school during that stretch.

Doesn't sound very overrated to me. I would say he has a long while before he gets the axe.
 
Oklahoma has lost 5 BCS bowl games in a row. I believe Stoops is a great great coach but losing the big games is hurting his image a bit. I don't believe OK should fire him though. He is still one of the best coaches in college football. Damnit I hate when I partially agree with Alpha.

Well said Lou. How asanine would it be for OU to fire such a successful coach? Maybe they could be more like Nebraska and suck too.

Coaching by Internet is like governing by polls or protests - f'd up!
 
I wouldn't say Oklahoma isn't losing too much.. even if they lose their BCS bowl game, the University is making a fat dime off of them playing that game, win or lose.
 
Wish the Huskers could help send him packing. It will be strange not to have a Husker-Sooner game.
