How freaking awesome are TE’s

garizzalies

Well-known member
Rensvold with TDs

Bingham at everything. And that one handed catch

Deming might be the baddest dude of them all

Think I saw a few plays with all 3 at once

So nice to see good ole big-boy football

Here come the Stitt people to let you know he called them H receivers. That said, they’re pretty freaking awesome.

He called them H Receivers, but he never had three on the field at once! I am loving seeing the multiple formations the staff is running out there. Having multiple TEs makes the offense that much harder to prepare for and has been lacking for the last few years.

This. I was a “Stitt person”, but he didn’t use TE’s or H receivers like Hauck does. In fact, he tried to start incorporating them in to help the run game, but it was too little, too late.

one has to like the way the t/e play together as unselfish teammates ...even though calib hill is about fourth on the deph chart beind bingham, demming reiensvold....he was the first out to greet riensvvold on his touch down at cal poly.....i know i butchered the names, but this is a team under hauck and hill deserves our admiration for his sacrifice to it.

This! I would love to see big bodied TEs in blocking with Hill flexed out. That could either seal a corner or get Hill out someplace where he can out-athlete someone.

Great Unselfish Player - Great Griz - guys like Caleb make everyone better. Hopefully he can get on the field some this year and make some senior year memories!

Go Griz.

All 3 were in the game on many plays. This has occurred in prior weeks too. I noticed hey often shifted before the play. It was good to see Bingham getting lots of plays. His injury must be better.

I loved Morningwig’s play design on MNF where the TE was lined up next to the center, and was eligible! Technically, I think the refs could have called it.
That’s the beauty of TEs. So versatile and you can do so many cool things with them and it’s usually a mismatch.
I haven’t seen much whammie motion/blocks yet but i bet it’s coming...

I absolutely love that there are fans that see this!! Even though things haven't gone the way he had hoped for as far as playing time at Montana, Caleb Hill has not backed off the effort one bit!! If everyone knew what Caleb has done behind the scenes to be a great leader, unselfishly changed to a completely different position(helping/pushing the younger guys), and playing on special teams, they would love him that much more. Guys like him is what starts the RTD!!!

Also, I think the TE group may be the strongest position group on the team. Several all conference players in that group and when they are all 3 on the field......nightmare to match up with.

Hey, I love our TE’s as much as any fan (wait, that doesn’t sound right....) but it’s clear to the most casual observer that our LB’s are our best position group. Olson/Buss/Lewis/Cochran....clearly the best in the conference.

Yeah....valid point. I think the TE’s are right “behind” them though!!

Agreed. Then comes O-line, right? :D

While they are not where they would like to be, I do see improvement. I hope they stay healthy and continue on that trend upward.

I too give Caleb deep credit. Any time you see a QB # lined up in the kicking game you gotta notice.
The kid's a gamer. Even with the TE depth I hope the coaches find a time to get him in with the O.

That moving positions is something of a Griz tradition; Jamal Wilson from FB to DT, Simis from QB to receiver, probably lots of others. It's those sort of men that you build winners around, sacrifice for the greater good.

Agreed. LBs are a beastly unit, followed by TEs, and then Imma go on a limb and say RBs are third bst unit, mainly because of Eastwood.

I appreciate Hill trying to fulfill his dreams of a career in professional athletics (football or baseball)! What is even more admirable, is he will graduate with a degree in accounting, which should guarantee him a career after college, regardless of how his athletic journey ends.

If I can skate by with C’s and get an accounting degree from UM, I’d say it’s debatable how admirable that is :coffee:
Although it has led to the start of a nice career in a different field...
