Tied, with about 3minutes to go, and 4th and 11, Georgia tries a fake punt from about the 50. And fails miserably. Giving Alabama the ball at midfield, with momentum and much closer to the Georgia goal line than they should have been. FG or TD puts Alabama ahead and probably wins the game for them, and did. Being aggressive is one thing; being stupid is another.

How about Georgia's fake punt call late in game??

I get why they tried it and Bama totally out coached Ga in that situation. I think the bigger issue is how Georgia failed miserably on offense after the missed field goal. That OC had his sphincter tighten up and quit being aggressive.
Georgia was out coached, that play was horrible (that far to gain, score as it was and against a regular defense is idiotic) but their lack of second half offense was what looked like trying not to lose instead of trying to win. Going to be a long off season thinking about that half
Putting back up qb Fields in as the up back basically told Saban the fake punt was on. Playing to win is one thing but when bama left there defense in, take a five yard penalty and then punt the damn ball Kirby. Pin them inside their own 10 and make them try and score with only 3:04 to play and also bama’s kicking game is pretty weak. Smh
