it's great to see teams from a rinky-dink conference competing in a major league venue, which is another reason the league office and the rest of the schools should hope montana gets there since we're the only school capable of turning out big numbers of fans. if we don't make it, expect the attendance to be six portland state cheerleaders, a clock operator and 38 homeless people, amidst a deafening echo of bouncing basketballs and screeching sneakers.

I disagree. There will be 47 homeless people.

Looking at the other side... imagine how fun it'd be to pack that thing with Griz fans.

What a lame place to have the tourney, it will look like there are about 30 people there. I don't know what would look worse on ESPN, having it at PSU's HS gym, or in an empty Rose Garden.

Griz have a tough game at ISU, Im not planning on them making it to Portland. I hope they prove me wrong, but we just lost to a BSC team by 50, not exactly going into the Tourney with any momentum.

if we had any pride in this conference, any hope that one of our members might get to the sweet 16, we'd be rooting for portland state. not only have they proved over a long season to be the best team, giving us our best chance at a 14 or 15 seed, they have one of the country's up-and-coming young coaches in ken bone, and their sweep through montana was the most spectacular road performance i can recall in the history of the conference. if they were to put together two games like that at the big dance, the conference might reap some huge financial rewards, something on the order of a million per victory, and we'd be laughing all the way to the bank. which in the big sky, more resembles a food bank.

Maybe you guys will make it and we can beat you by 100 this time. :thumb:

...be careful what you ask for...
...there's nothing like an ass kicking...
...to act as it's own motivator...

... :o ...

I'm not dis-agreeing with much in this thread. However, I thought that I'd point out that the "rinky-dinky" Big Sky conference ranked 16th out of 31 conferences last year in attendance, including beating the Big West by 700/game.

Some people, who only attend 1 or 2 Griz games a year, constantly rip the quality of play and attendance of the Big Sky because they only watch Pac-10 and other big-time conferences on tv and only see that the Big Sky is far below those, when in reality, the BSC is consistantly middle of the pack in attendance and rpi. There are some really bad conferences out there that you never hear about.

Bad Karma....Bad, Bad Karma---

I would take the Griz just because of smack like this...Pretty funny too, considering how many times PSU has been to the NCAAs, ZERO!

I do recall the Griz losing twice to the Cats a few years ago, by 20+ both times, then in the tourney in Bozeman, Trammell and the boys come back from down 20 again and end the game with a thunderous dunk to sent the Cats home...

The smack talk was pretty thick then too...

Bad karma, bad, bad karma...

Messing with Karma is akin to messing with Mother Nature. You simply don't go there. You would think they would remember 2 years ago when they were also favs, hmmm, who won that title?? :thumb:

First we have to dispatch a team we already beat twice... very tough to beat one team three times in a season... especially when you go on the road twice.

That is such a cliche. The better teams do it all the time, but that doesn't neccessarily apply to this years Griz BB team. :twocents:

At the risk of missing something above.

ISU 54 MT 56 1/17/08

No three times?? Unless you count a tie and overtime=2times
