These are barely 18-19 yr. olds, majority, on the field for the Griz at the moment. We practically have a High School team playing 2-4 yr experienced teams on the Collegiate circuit and, after thinking awhile, they are doing well! I remember one commentator exclaiming, "Henderson" just took off he has no right he's only a freshman!" After a 8 yard first down run. Last year we had a few starting freshman and one freshman qtr. back this year we have over 5-6 positions w/ out any previous Collegiate experience. So its a given we will lose, but by the numbers we lost by... i am now surprised that half our team just played high school friday night lights last year and are giving most teams a run for their money. I give credit to the young Griz team we have and we should all look forward to an experienced polished team next year. The coaching staff... Their butterflies should be taken care of too. I think it's a, "lets get through the year" season for them as well. Good job boys you are representing well and lets take it one game at a time. Griz Nation is here and will always be here! Go Griz!!! :thumb:

The "boys" are representing well, the men are not. We have been out-played & out-manuevered in the 2nd half in virtually every single game. That is the grown ups fault. Yes this team is extremely young, but they're still better than each roster they've matched up against on the other side of the ball. One coaching staff makes adjustments, one does not. Even with a more experienced team next year, if the men do not counter the adjustments the opposing team's men make, we will lose every 2nd half again. Delaney is simply not head coaching material, & the ST coach needs to find a new career.....period.

94 yards of total offense in the second half of yesterdays game and 3 points along with a highlite reel of punt coverage. nuf said.

2008 team was very young as well...result: 1 horrible loss to Weber and from there to Chatty. No one should count this as a lost season. IMO the mindset to have is get the ship pointed in the right direction this year and build momentum for 2013. Whether or not that is possible only time will tell.

Do we have any starters that played high school football just last year?

Our captain to the 'Ship is a redshirt freshman. He watched the Uni game last yr. from the stands. :thumb: TMac and he doing well.
SUU was not a young team, were they? I thought Sorensen was a senior or Jr. Regardless what anybody says, they barely beat the Griz. And this team is coming back next yr. surprisingly, w/ out butter-fingers; Yesss! We still have Canada, coats, and other dude. List goes on... Go Griz!!!

A redshirt freshman was not playing HS football last year.

SU has 2 sophomore starters on offense, and 5 frosh/redshirt frosh starters on defense (no sophs). Defense is young. Offense is veteran.
