Home Field Advantage

Does it mattter? Absolutely! It is very difficult to beat a GOOD team at home. Period! So unless people don’t think Montana is a good team then playing at home gives them a big advantage. The one thing Miller and co. will struggle with will be communication. They really have zero idea how loud Wa Griz until game time-it’s loud! Audibles will be difficult. Both teams have good coaching staffs but one intangible we have is Timmy Hauck. I’m sure he’s looked at the bison pretty close and will dial up things to keep them at bay. The kids need to execute.
The bison are big physical team and they will rely on that fact to win this thing but Montana’s 3-3-5 will be something Miller will have to figure out and fast. Contain that running game and Montana’s chances increase significantly. Watch out for the quick slants because Miller will be looking for quick releases. I like our chances!
On offense I like our matchups. I think our receivers are better than their db’s and the running game will do just enough to keep them honest. Their d-line is good and will there will be a battle in the trenches. Hopefully Walker and Brown are back. They run a 4-3 cover two base and Brent Pease knows that stuff. Play calling should not be a problem. Execution execution execution. I wouldn’t doubt if Harris has a big game.
Sorry for the rambling but I’m about to pack the truck and begin the trek over the mountain. I’m really looking forward to a hard fought game between two good football teams. With that said….
