And the defensive line. Also giving  to our D backfield. Offense, played a first half this week.
Someone, please repost that PR. His first KOR was also sweet but that return. Good gawd.

I'll drop the mic after this, I don't miss Ty, at all.

I agree with all above minus the D backfield. Not good today. Receivers behind them all day, can't find the ball in the air, and looked lost on many plays. EWU QB and receivers will chew them up without some improvement.

Perhaps..but what I saw, was a lot of Sandry, Sanders and Strong tipping balls away and none of that try to only run into you tackling. 14 pts to the #3 team at the end of the day, I'm good with that.

agree with dmontanagrizzlies when you consider the scheme that the d backs played today,,,d backs played press coverage at line of scrimmage, one on one, with no safety help as semore used safeties to keep bailey in check,,,,the scheme or technique used by the d-backs is called a trail technique, which is built on pass break ups when the offense is catching the ball......you have to have very good athletes at d-backs to play this technique and to trust them.....the d-backs actually played very well today.

Where I do agree with Solider but no one has even said it, thank goodness for Justin Strong. That guy's speed is super, under appreciated.

Comment on UNI board after someone complained about their special teams giving up a punt return TD: "To be fair on Louie-McGee that was one of his first punt returns in college football and I'm curiouis of MT even knew he could do some of those things. They were seriously right out of a video game."

Yeah, we knew. Now everyone does. Wonder what extremes teams will go to to avoid kicking to him in the future?

The pass coverage was very good most of the time. One exception was the long pass to the right corner in second half. Corner must have gone for a fake and was beaten, and safety (5) was nowhere close to giving him help. Don't know if he was supposed to be giving help over there. No. 1 had a terrific game. No. 2 pretty good and made some plays and even terrific plays, but also gave up a few. Gave up 2 shorter sideline routes in a row at one point. No. 25 was in position on the sideline, but must not have seen the ball. A safety was there too. There were about 3 or 4 longer plays and mainly in the end zone where our defenders made great closing plays to prevent receptions. The qb had thrown good but not perfect balls, but they were several feet too short and our defenders made up ground to got to the receivers in time to prevent the reception. Those were very nice plays.

Had the qb been more accurate, more balls would have been completed. However, the coaches believed our secondary was better than their receivers, and that's why we were able to play so much man. Had the qb been better or more accurate, and their receivers caught more of the longer passes, I assume there would have been less man coverage. The man coverage allowed Semore to keep the heat on the qb and hurry, bug and sack him so much. 4 or maybe 5 sacks.

I like our secondary, there's some depth there now and there will be more as the season goes on. They seem to be solid tacklers too.

Spot on. I thought the D played it perfectly, box up and stop the run. Overall great play by the DB's , they got beat some, yeah, but overall held their own, which allowed the pressure on the QB. How many sacks ? I was impressed with how much pressure we brought. This was against the #3 team at their place, revenge week and all.
