I've obviously known for a long time how special Daum was... but that was the first game I have seen Ryan play, and holy-cow the dude is a player!

Just like the tv announcer said, Samson (long-time football coach--hs and college), I wouldn't mind if Ryan put on 10 more pounds and played RB for the Griz.

Does anybody know where Colton Hunchak from Calgary is going to college? He played receiver for the West. He has great speed and moves incredibly well with the ball. I just watched his HUDL season highlight video and it is impressive. He played qb and safety on his high school team. Would love to see him at wr for the Griz.

I like him at WR. Like Stitt said, it will be a complete mismatch with him being covered by a LB. That's what Im so excited for with Stitt, he knows how to expose a defenses weaknesses.

Oh Jeez Eh! When I seen that it blew my touque off, I about fell off the chesterfield, spit my poutine all over my red serge. So I hit the off-sale and grabbed a 24 and 40 of rye, settled down to watch the TSN highlights on this kid and he can cover metres. He's a great 2nd down slotback so he'll be able to keep teams from being forced to kick a rouge.

now, I know why the pac 12 schools were interested in him.....I like this idea of running back, if nothing else it would give your best athletes more touches counting hand offs and passes to the back,,,,plus he could probably put on 20 pounds and not lose any speed,,,,he is a really physical football player to have to tackle...happy he is a griz......

It sounded like Stitt said they would like to redshirt him and eventually get him up to 225-230 and be a matchup nightmare in the slot. But with how dissapointed Stitt is with our receivers after spring ball, wouldn't be a shock to see both Daum and Ryan playing right away.

He was talking about WR depth. He loves the starters. He has never had the talent at WR that he has this year in Jones and Henderson.

I'm with ya, Hammer. In zone, Ryan will be a miss-match on a LB. And in man coverage, Ryan will still be a miss-match because he will have the 4th best cover guy on him. Stitt knows his sh!t.

I hope you're right. I have watched Holden Ryan play since 7th grade and have always been his biggest booster on this board. So I know the man can play and expect him to have a great career as a Grizzly. Though I'd want him to have a red shirt year to learn the Stitt play book, bulk up a bit more, and get up to college speed.

Yet any comparison to the Villanova nightmare is premature. Hell Caesar was a unique character and it's hard to image others measuring up to his versatility. Let us all hope Holden is up to the challenge. :ugeek:
