Help with essay information

I can tell you a little about major Brawls after the game, and later downtown. Like Cats rushing the goal posts : griz have high power fire water hoses that will rip off your Girdle, and Bobcats with a fireman's Ax. !959. So cats rush field. Griz blow their skirts up, cats axe the hose, and the fight is on. Montana Bockman knocks out about three Cats.And, I enjoyed the free for all and the after game activities. Hence came the (Brawl of the Wild)

I would suggest you show at least 17 years of attendance for the major sports programs along with correlating ticket revenue raised. Then you could also point out the much higher support that MSU's programs receive from their main hall while UM bleeds the athletics dry for charge backs. It is pretty hard to refute what these numbers mean. Ticket revenue and/or attendance may be the easiest argument can you make in a paper that is actually supported with available facts.

Ticket revenue!!!! what is that??? In the late 50's and early 60's with temperatures below Zero, and a Griz record at 1-8, or 0-9, who the hell counted the money??? It was the love of competition and Hate for the Boob cats. Go Griz

Hello fellow Griz!

I made the choice this year to reenroll in college, better late than never right? Well for an English Composition class I have to write a persuasive essay, roughly 8 pages long. And the topic I have chosen is why the Montana Grizzlies are superior to the Montana State Bobcats.

My question to all my fellow eGriz family members is this...

I am looking for data, particularly things attendance data, playoff records, players in the pros, etc. for as far back as can be found for both the Griz and Cats, and I was wondering if anyone else might know the best source to find year to year data on this? Most of my topics in this discussion are easy to find, I mean the only real one I should need to use is the historic head to head record between, but I do have to provide at least a little data to where it shows the Bobcats are trying/or are (depending on your view) to be competitive. Or maybe someone else can shed me more info on what I might be able to use for this topic. I plan on leaving little unturned to convince anyone that the Griz are the logical choice but I guess I just have a little bit of a block as to where to come up with actual statistical data to prove this in concrete.

Any advice, facts, websites, ideas, opinions, etc. would be greatly appreciated. And as this is a paper for a college class I will need to supply a reference page with sources. Thanks for helping me out with whatever you guys may have!

Guys, I can't thank you enough for the help in guiding me to some sources on this one. I picked up the book by Mr. Donovan off Amazon (wouldn't ya know it he signed the inside of it too) and it was an INCREDIBLE source of information. I ended up with 16 different sources of information. From both Griz and cat media guides, to newspaper articles by Colter (super underrated writer in my opinion!!) the SI article on the Bobcats legal troubles, and a few Missoulian articles, I left few stones unturned in my ventures, or at least as much as my brain would handle.

I hit it from top to bottom, football, basketball, everywhere. As I type this I'm putting the finishing touches on the 1st rough draft of the essay. It checks in at 10 pages with title page and all my sources (we were held to a 6 page min 8 page max limit without sources and title page). If anyone were interested in taking a look at the finishing touches I would be glad to email a copy of it to you for your thoughts, any outside help again would be great.

Unfortunately FTC, Fuck The Cats, or any other verbiage was forbidden and it hurt to hear. But I am very proud of what I have finished with. Send a direct message or a reply if you are interested in seeing the rough draft. Class tomorrow has peer editing and i'll add in my edits to that then be ready for any other willing readers to have a chance with it.
