Help on the Lady Griz Radio Broadcasts

Whoever directs the radio program for the Lady Griz is completely incompetent. So they started interviewing Robin Selvig before the game, and they interrupted him with an advertisement as is normal with this crew. Then at halftime, they start interviewing Joslyn Tinkle and then proceed to interrupt her interview with an ad. Also talk about frustrating to make matters worse when Robin was going to speak at halftime they cut him off for an interview with another interview having nothing to do with the celebration of naming the court. It seems to me we should be able to have somebody who has a clue how to run a radio broadcast. We never had that problem before when Tom Stage broadcast games.

Can someone tell me or show me who to contact to see if we can get this mess straightened out? It’s been frustrating all year and it’s the worst it’s ever been in all the years of Lady Griz basketball. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for tolerating my vent.

I think this is the radio station and not the broadcasters. I'm listening on my computer to KMPT 930 AM and this has been a problem all season. In the past, I have complained to Todd Rahr ([email protected]).

While I was not a fan of the previous lady Griz Tom Stage I’m less impressed with this guy. Obviously no pregame prep with insights on individual players and no color commentator. If you watch the away games most all the other programs have two announcers.
For the men I do like Riley a lot but again, as with the other conference mens programs we do not have a color commentator. I’m not sure if this is a Learfield issue or our athletic department but it comes across as pretty bush league.
I feel the athletic Dept has become complacent in focusing on the individuals within the teams which creates a bond between the fans and the players. Just my opinion.

Spot on----this has happened over and over again all season and is completely unprofessional. TOTALLY unacceptable and has to be nipped in the bud STAT!

I think this is a Learfield problem. Riley does a great job by himself. As for the LG announcers, a little help might help might be the answer.

I think Ace is fine. He’s only been in Missoula four months and has obviously spent some time getting up to speed on LG lore. Let’s afford people a little grace.
