In order to lose you have to show up

In order to show up, you have to get there. :thumb:
I would rather not go than be an embarrassment on national tv

Good thing you are a Bobrat fan, you guys are really good at not going anywhere. When was the last time the Bobrats won in the NCAA's? Oh yeah, NEVER...

All, cuseorange.com is welcoming us to hang in there with them rest of the way. Go on over there and wish them well, if you should choose. It is at the GRIZNATION titled thread.

Marquette only scores 5 more points than the Griz, on a Syracuse team they beat earlier in the year 74-71. Griz loss does not look as bad now.

Look at turnovers in their games, Griz had 17, California had 17, Indiana had 18 and Marquette has 13.

So you equate a 16 point loss to a 47 point loss? I just don't see it.
agreed. i could only watch 15 minutes of that game

I dated a girl who's stepfather was a Syracuse alum, and he was a twat..so was his stepdaughter, now that I think about it..

True Story

Sidenote: Syracuse will win it all.. WOULD LOVE SOME SIDEBETS! $50 max..times are tough..

You're right. A 47 point loss looks way better in context. Or, not . . .

The Griz were embarrassed in one game against one of the best 4 teams in the country, the fading bobcats were embarrassed all season long against most of the BSC and then again in the BSC tourney.

No comparison dude! And no leg to stand on here!

Go Griz!

Maul'em!

Humorous comparison, given that the Griz are always the first fans to state "at least we weren't embarrassed on National TV" when they themselves are not in the FCS playoffs.

Better to be an embarrassment AND be one of the 40 worst teams in the entire nation, no doubt.

msu: proudly being losers since 1900!! :thumb:

Hope you cat fans enjoy more years of Huse's success at your program :)

I'll take a blowout loss to one of the best teams in the country in the NCAA tournament any day over a 317 RPI finish (out of 347 teams) and records against D1 opponents like this the past several years:

2012-2013: 11-17 (317 RPI, 336 SOS)
2011-2012: 10-17 (276 RPI, 304 SOS)
2010-2011: 11-18 (265 RPI, 255 SOS)

You guys are just lucky the season isn't longer... your normal February slide would drop you even further. 7-22 in D1 games the past 3 years from February on. Good luck getting into ANY tournament with results like those.

So you cat fans trashing on the Griz for their blowout loss to Syracuse... enjoy your blowout losses to IDAHO STATE (338 RPI), not being in any tournament, and having Huse as your head coach for more years of great success

Really? You are comparing the losses to NDSU and SHSU to Syracuse? In those games you were favored and got it handed to you. Montana was never in the discussion as to being the same quality as Syracuse and Montana, while the game was way more lopsided than I thought it would be, was playing a very superior opponent. Something the Cats' should not have been able to say in their home playoff losses.

Griz scored 34, marquette scored 39 and cal scored only 50. That defense is a killer. However the griz had no luck with the ball going thru the hoop, they did get shots.

As a Michigan fan I am required to say that the Orange's run ends on Saturday night. Trey Burke is playing out of his mind right now & Mitch McGary is hitting his stride at the perfect time. Go Blue!

I was thinking about you and Big Blue. They look impressive and i'd love to see them win it all. They had the most exciting game of tourney so far. They certainly have 'Cuse's attention as i think i heard Boeheim say something to the effect that he does not think the matchup is ideal, and apparently wanted Kansas. I agree. Seems like Mich could give Cuse fits with that big freshman. to me, he is more impressive than Burke, mainly because his size and agility. My question is, why has it taken Mich 20 years to get back to the final four? Not a fair question as i doubt there is single answer. Just seems weird, especially since the big10 seems so good this year.

...and if michigan getz 50 or less...
...against syracuse'z long zone...
...the griz are off the hook...

... 8-) ...

The Michigan coach was using long paddles on arms to prepare his players to shoot over Syracuse's d. According to some on here, I guess he's as big of an "idiot" as Tinks was...

Well their defense was terrific again. Their offense and lack of shooting was why Michigan beat them. Syracuse will be back in the hunt next season. Thank you Syracuse fans, for your time here. I have nothing but respect for Syracuse and their fans we met here.

Mich looked great and their big freshman looked even more impressive than i expected. In fact, they seemed to have leap frogged L'ville as the team to beat.
I thought it was very creative the way they beat 'Cuse. The Mich coach does not get enuf credit. I loved that he attacked their zone with a double-high post. It worked brilliantly, especially the first half. They didn't seem to do it as much in the second half. It worked so well and seemed so simple, it is amazing nobody else thought of it. But the big boy made it look easy with his passing ability.
