Heck of a game

Honestly hard for either team to lose a game like that yesterday, Griz fans should be proud you have a helluva team. Your defense is tough as nails!! Hopefully Cam is ok, for as much as I see some comments on here, that dude is a baller…

Couldn’t have been more impressed with the Griz fans (again) at the game and tailgates yesterday, always a fun group! Both these teams are capable of making big playoff runs this year, best of luck the rest of the way…

Thank you Marceagfan5!
We were treated extremely well before, during and after the game. We ran into nothing but quality fans who love their team. Best of luck for the rest of the season. Hope we can meet up again this season.
Go Griz!

Hope your stud WR is ok too. His didn’t look too good either. Talk about a baller.

I hope we get another shot at EWU in December. I wish it would have ended with a Griz win, but I am not disappointed with UM’s effort on the road in this game.

Marc, you're always a classy dude. Thanks.

It was a great game. In fact, I told the guys I was watching with, "If I wasn't stressed as fvck, this would be one helluva football game". And credit Eastern. That was not the defense I'd seen in earlier games. They were flying to the ball and rarely missed a tackle. And the Griz D, which seemingly hadn't missed a tackle all year, struggled in that area.

Long way to go, but Eastern has put themselves in the driver's seat for a top 4 seed.

EWU is legit, especially at QB/WR.

I'd appreciate a rematch in WaGriz come playoffs.

I'd also appreciate it if mom jeans went away for good. What's up with the mom jeans, ladies?

We tried to park in lot P16 like you said but they wouldn't allow us. We did park in lot P3 which was only 500 yards from the stadium. All the Eastern fans were very hospitable and no issues. Of course, there were those select few who couldn't resist telling us we were number one.
Is there something added to the turf of your stadium that causes all these players to injure their ankles? Seemed to me every player that was injured during this game injured their ankles. Seemed strange to me.

If UM wins out, which they should, they’ll be a top 4 seed and should be. I’d love to see a rematch, in Frisco…

How were the seats on the home side? Sorry about the P16 parking, the switched it for the Griz game, which didn’t really work IMO. We were down in P3 for awhile, we had a group of kids start up some games with some Griz kids, everyone had a ball…Griz fans were great

There seemed like a lot of injuries on Saturday and the footing was definitely an issue, I’ve seen a ton of games there so not sure what the deal was Saturday as it’s not typical…

Hope you enjoyed yourself!

announcers were saying it was a "brand new turf" and implied that might have something to do with the footing issues that both teams were experiencing.

I know I am old, I know I am old fashioned, and I know I am out of date, but DAMN this is a refreshing and fun thread to read. For me anyway, it was pleasant to see such civil exchanges from such great fans on both sides. Kudos to both Eagle and Griz fans from this LONG TIME Griz.  :thumb: :thumb:

For as much "hate" as there is between the two schools because of the rivalry - and yes, it's a rivalry - I think there's been a good amount of respect that has built up over the years.

Such a great game. Loved watching it. Sucks Cam got hurt. The Cats will have their hands full when they play both squads. One thing I'd like to point out. When a player gets hurt. They have to deal with being hurt and deal with school work while being in pain. I can tell ya, rolling around on campus on crutches is no fun. Or having a arm that doesn't work, trying to take notes or writing papers. Injuries go way past just not being able to play.

It was just installed last year, definitely could have been part of the issue

This exactly…any fan of a big sky team knows the Big sky is what it is because of the Griz. We don’t get the ESPN and root deals without the Griz (and cats to a lesser extent)…Eastern has benefited tremendously because of this…

You have stopped by my tailgate in P3. We had about 75 people from Montana and at least that many from Eastern. My seats were ok. My friend told they had backs so that is why we were on the home side. Nope, no backs. I won't sit over there next time. When we walked in, we walked in front of the student section and caused a real fun uproar!
New Turf can cause this?

We parked in P7, where our friends and a couple other Griz fans had RVs. It was, at most, 5 minutes from the stadium.
