HEALTH OFFICIAL SAYS Noise is amplified in the Cold

Health Official continues his/her public service warnings with this latest information...

"Noise travels farther, and is effectively amplified, as it passes through cold air as opposed to in warm air. Therefore Grizzly fans are cautioned not to get too loud as it may cause hearing damage to those in the stands or on the field. Rumor has it that it may be cold and loud at the stadium. If noise levels are excessive fans are encouraged to push snow into their ears to protect themselves from permanent damage."

Word has it CC was at Albertsons this morning buying all the battery operated earplugs w/built in warmers. They're ready.

Actually, in the real physical world (not the Twilight Zone that is eGriz), sounds moves more slowly in cold air because cold air is more dense. My theory is that since the sound is moving more slowly it has more time to seep into your ears instead of flying by so quickly by so THAT is why is sounds louder when it is cold...

Thank God for some sanity around here. I won't argue with your science.
Due to the COLD, our LOUD will saturate their ear drums with or without their snow ear plugs.
