Hawaii V San Jose State

The Spartans are giving Hawaii all they want. 14-14 with 7:00 remaining in the 3rd Qtr. Lou Holtz said he was not impressed with Brennan at QB because he was getting al day to throw and there was no pass rush. I think the game/field conditions have something to do with it. How big of an upset with this be?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Given Hawaii's powder puff football schedule, I think this one could easily go SJSUs way. Hawaii hasn't looked that good to me this year. Brennan probably didn't do himself any favors by coming back for his senior year. He'll be the next Kliff Kingsbury, Timmy Chang, BJ Symons, Nick Rolovich, and on down the line.

Seriously.. why is anyone taking Hawaii seriously right now. They scheduled not one.. but TWO FCS teams. One of them being arguably the worst team in FCS, and Charleston Southern is not a great team either.

...and onto the Rockies game I go!

....and SJSU just took the lead.

SJSU is not a good football team. Their offense is suspect.. it's a neat offense in the play calling they have, but it's AWFUL when it comes to execution. Hawaii (when I had it on) was constantly in their backfield running down these tricky plays. Hawaii has a good D, but it isn't that good.

Did you catch the Brennan shovel pass?

I didn't.. just watching play by play.

It wasn't executed very well. The intended receiver acted as though he didn't know the play call.

San Jose State had control of this game and lack of discipline on the Defense gave Hawaii one TD and the momentum. I will bet anyone on this board that Hawaii will not run the table like Boise did. In fact, I say Boise beats them.

Without a doubt. Hawaii will not be undefeated at season's end, and if they are, they will not get a BCS game. SOS factors HUGE.

Hawaii won 42-35 in OT. Very exciting game. Hawaii would have beaten then by 4-5 TDs at home.

Colt Brennan threw 4 more INTs. He had 4 against Idaho. He's a decent QB but he is no Heisman candidate.

Alot like Ay Yat, big numbers but lots of int's also.

Brennan is a very good QB in my opinion he just had a bad game last night because of the weather conditions and because his receivers were having trouble getting out of their routes. The timing was off. Can't tell if they run the table but even if they go undefeated they will get hosed by the FBS.

Hawaii's O-line had some breakdowns. They had given up just 4-5 sacks all season....yesterday...what was it...5-6? They will run the table....they'll beat BSU.....and yes...they will still get screwed by the FBS but they will get a bowl game of some sort and make some cash. Their brand of football is marketable win or lose....good TV.

No bets for me thanks....I plan on losing all my money on the Griz. :thumb:

After the game the boy named June said they would have beat them by 60 on a good field. Not impressed with boy named June or his team.

So the quote is why you don't like him/them or do you actually have a reason. You'd be in a small group of people nationally if you are saying the boy named June can't coach.

Hawaii hasn't beaten anyone by 60, not even Northern Colorado or Chuck Southern.. but they have given up 35 points three times. :thumb:

Did they have a budget deficit?
