We all have a right to our opinions. People have a right to protest peacefully if they want to. That's the freedom that we all enjoy here. It won't change the fact that Hauck is the coach again. Clearly, many of us support Hauck and feel that the protesters are either uninformed or blaming Hauck for an issue that is beyond his scope of control and that he's being treated as a scapegoat.
One of two things will happen:
People will protest, life will go on and the complaints will peter out or remain in the background. Meanwhile, Hauck will demonstrate whether or not he lives up to the reputation the protesters know him by. If players begin getting into more trouble than we've had in recent years, maybe there IS a valid association. I don't think so. I think we will begin winning again. I think the people in opposition to Hauck will help ensure he runs a tighter ship. I think we are about to enjoy an exciting season of football. I think the protesters will be pleasantly surprised that they are wrong.
OR
People will protest and many of you will react. You will criticize the bodies and faces of the women in opposition. You will make personal attacks and become bullies. You will follow the sentiment of AG1 and MB by taking the low road. That will validate concerns on the other side and add massive fuel to the fire. I will make us all look bad and take away from the reason we all love the Griz.
Choose wisely.
