Has BSC influence moved to MSU prexy?

Bored with the QB watch I surfed the WAC board to find that many posters there believe that the power in any negotiations to link WAC and BSC Oly sports has now switched to President Waded Cruzado. One commented that she was the one in MT with the cahones  ...She is the one Bobcat transfer I would welcome.

Her NMSU background can't hurt either.

Dr. Cruzado is a dynamic individual, no doubt about it. When she was hired, many were concerned about her level of support for athletics. I think it's safe to say those concerns are no longer.

She is a very cool lady. The only reason I attend MSU right now is that UM doesn't have a graphic design option, plus, in-state tuition. I met President Cruzado at a luncheon for the graphic design dept. that she sponsored, and like 2 months later, I was walking across campus, and she said hello to me - remembered my name, and asked how I was liking MSU and that her door was always open for comments/suggestions. Very neat lady!

I'd say Cruzado packs a real wow factor when you first meet her. And she's done good things for MSU, but whenever I speak with MSU staff, I learn of holes in your departments that might really anger some if Cruzado wasn't so charismatic. She is easily the most likable person in Montana higher ed since Jeff Baker.

I wonder what perceptions of her will be after she moves on. And she will move on. The last time I was at MSU, I was visiting with a group associated with some very prominent New England schools. They were all wondering out loud about what it would take to hire away Cruzado.

Ohh snap! I made this about race! Again! :!:

On an airoplane with her. She is a cutie. Tad bit hot for ice cold bloseman. Yeah, we would have hired her on the spot.

I too have met Cruzado and am very impressed by her. She is very popular around Havre because she is committed to not only making sure Northern stays a four-year institution, which I know bugs a lot of you, but also to helping it grow, i.e. the work being done to refurbish the Armory Gymnasium this summer.

When she removes Jacobsen as dean of the College of Agriculture we'll talk. Up until then she is ok with ruining the state's land grant institution and I'm not ok with that. Jacobsen is a nightmare and only cares about research instead of giving a isht about the students coming there.
