Ha ha... Brandon Neil is in... haahaha

The Defense is playing F@ing awesome so far.

Snyder, we need those field goals.

I'm sorry, but Brandon Niel is so damn impressive. Why hasn't he played at LEAST a full quarter cumulatively, every game, all year?

I won't argue that Brandon shouldn't have been in last week. Definitely he should have been in...maybe Glenn was trying to find out what kind of cajones Edwards has. Maybe Glenn was trying to show the rest of the team that a guy can play hurt. Maybe that strategy didn't work so well.

Anyways, that being said, I do agree that Neil looked good today, but I will also say that it is a lot easier to be the well prepared back up off the bench for one series than the starter week in and week out. You get to play against a more vanilla defense, because you are an unknown quantity. There is a reason Neil got the receiver in the endzone alone with the fallen down cornerback and Edwards constantly has to thread the ball in there. Its good to know that Neil is so well prepared. I hope we don't need him in the playoff run, but like having Heidleberger (sp?) on the bench on returns...its good to know we have that kind of talent on our team.

I'm not talking about benching one or the other, but I think Neil may be better suited for 3rd and long situations. Also, he may be better at running the offense inside the red zone.

Just my thoughts.

By the way, I thought NW was supposed to be a good defensive team?
They didn't show it today.

According to the Northwestern broadcasters: they had all kinds of excuses...of course the one I like best is that Msla had fog and they had to fly into Helena and ride a bus for 2 hours. I didn't know that if you rode a bus for 2 hours you forgot how to play defense. :D Those poor demons!
