Anybody that can piss off this many people for just doing their job, is either doing their job right or should run for President.
 
Blaming the messenger is an old way of avoiding the truth...It is not attractive in university of Montana grads nor anywhere else.
 
If you are talking about Gwen avoiding some of the truth, then i agree. She has chosen to overlook significant information and has proven to have an agenda, which could be going above the call of duty to protect victims of abuse. But unfortunately she has cross the line of being ethical by leaving out details so she can get that big headline story.
 
Still blaming the "messenger"...if you have information to back up that claim, then file a suit...until then, it is disgraceful that an educated person chooses to attack a reporter based upon, well....nothing.

Please show me where she showed balance-both sides of the story. Yeah, thats what I thought. Unfortunately there are real assault victims out there that do need awareness and protection, but the Missoulian typically sticks those stories on page 2 or the story itself is very limited. The Missoulian has made a chose to give less attention to real victims because most of those stories can't create the big headline like something that might involve the football team, even if there are holes in the story. Now that there is pathetic.

any stories that come out covering allegations made against someone almost always sound like they're not balanced. sometimes they are followed by articles that show the allegation is unfounded and then they seem like they're not balanced against the person making the allegation. you just hold u of m so near and dear to your heart that you can't see through that. if you weren't doing that you would be able to see it. which is basically the definition of desperate.

here's what you want to read:
a female u of m student is claiming that u.m. quarterback jordan johnson raped her, but she probably just pissed because he dumped her, because girls do that all the time. the end.

No, not any Griz fan want's to cheer on a rapist, but most fans need to be provided information about the firing of O'Day and Pflugrad. Not the BS provided by Gwen the "lazy can't get the facts writer" and the used up political hack sir Pat.

Meanwhile, most Griz fans and UM fans are awaiting the simple reasons.... and until that comes out..... Rolls and the above mentioned are in deep doo doo!
 
I have heard from a few people in the know that she has shown discretion about what has been reported. She knows much more than she has choose to publish. I have actually heard that this whole thing is much more disgusting than has been reported. It has changed my opinion on the athletic program and O'day completely. I also have a new found respect for Engsrom. Hate to see Pflugrad get the axe and not the Soccer coach though, that seems like an injustice.
