Does any one know where I could find a copper & gold Grizzly jersey? With the whole throwback thing in effect, getting an old jersey would be pretty nice!

Let me know, just drop me an e mail if you hear of something.

You might try ebay.

I have seen old Grizzly BBall gear on there. Like the real, worn in a game, jersey.

Course I might be biddin against you.....

The old stuff is great. You used to be able to get your hands on it every year when the Athletic department would have a sale of all its old stuff. THey had a seperate sale after the 95 season selling helmets and jerseys worn during that season. Most of the jerseys from that year ended up being purchased by the athlete who wore it during the season, but I lucked out and got the jersey from a player that decided not to buy his. (#40) (I think his name was chris something) It is pretty sweet. It has stitches from all of the times it was torn and then so marks from helmets hitting the shouldpads and stff on the yoke. Pretty good find. I don't know if they have had the big sale recently or not, but everyspring you can keep your eyes peeld and your ears open and you might find out something about it going on on campus.

The UM Book Store has some stuff in copper and silver , but it says "OLD GRIZ" as the emblem - at least they had a hooded sweatshirt yesterday - If it just said "Griz" or "Montana" or both I would have bought one

I asked earlier this year why the never carried any "throw-back" jerseys with the old colors. I got 2 different answers:

1. The copper color is hard to get - I have trouble believing that.

2. No one really asks for it.

Maybe we can get a grass roots campaign to at least get some throw back jerseys.
