Woof, that’s a bit of an understatement bobby. Just call a spade a spade bud. A more true statement would have been something like , “our pass coverage is less a defense and more of a guided tour to the end zone,” or “our secondary couldn’t cover a bed with a blanket”……..

Yes, our " guided tour " led to a whopping 24 points scored by Eastern, and no team in the history of college football has scored a whole 24 points and actually lost--Eastern was the first school in over 100 years to score 24 points and actually lose a college football game !!!

This defense is 50 or worse in most all statistical categories. This is getting to the point where we were at under seymore again. If you’re fine with that, great, I’m not and will continue to vocalize my displeasure at this teams defensive ineptitude. We’re 10-0 for just the 7th time in program history, for that the team and coaching staff should be and is being lauded. However, we’re also statistically one of the worst defenses in the country right now, and for that the team can and should be criticized. A team just down the road is top 20 in every single defensive statistic as well as offensive statistic. That and the dakotas are the teams we should be aspiring to be like. If we’re fine having a defense near the bottom of the FCS, then we’re right where we want to be and no changes should be made!

In total defense, Griz are now 86th. Like I said, we are now reaching seymore levels of crappy defense

Oh yeah , did the team " just down the road" and the Dakota schools play 10 consecutive games without a bye ?

And if they didn't, doesn't your argument about a direct comparison suffer a fatal flaw since they had a bye and we didn't ?

And what about sacks, TFL's, and interceptions ? You seem to cherry pick stats that support your narrative about an inept GRIZ D and ignore those where we rank fairly high, like sacks, where we have more in three games than the school " just down the road " has in 10 : ( !!!

Sacks and interceptions are respectable, but tfls, dude we’re 52nd…. Not good enough. Again, you literally went and cherry picked practically the only two statistical categories where the Griz were respectable and then accuse me of cherry picking in the same breath…. That’s pretty rich

Nope, I unapologetically rag on the bad, but always praise the good. I could say 20 freaking good things about this team, and have in other threads, but I point out the teams glaring weakness and a select few will jump on me for not wholeheartedly praising this team for being 10-0. For two straight years this defense has been near the bottom of the league in nearly every statistical category. That’s not good enough. I’ll tell you what, it’s amazing that the team is 10-0 for the 7th time in program history, but with the very real possibility that these are our last few years in FCS it’d sure be nice to win one last title, and this defense won’t cut it. Nope it won’t. Bradford had it humming the one year he ran it. The years prior were lackluster and the years since he left have been abysmal.

This ",No Bye" thing seems to be gaining traction. Hadn't heard much about it last week when talk seemed more centered on whether Griz would beat EWU worse than 57 -3.

Really? Almost 500 yards passing. Are you at or watching the game? maybe learn a little. Been the same all season. Pressure the QB because even a good secondary can’t cover for 8 seconds.
