Some will remember, but it was a late start (I believe 9pm) on the old 'Big Monday' on ESPN when Montana played Idaho in the old Dahlberg. This was the famous protest game where the student section threw potatoes at the protestors, pretty sure if I remember right PaytonLives might have had a hand in the potato distribution.
This does beg a question, beyond meth, what prop would be fitting to students have in their possession for the Eastern Washington game?
The game also included one of the more impressive blocks (Delvon Anderson) I had seen in person. I still have a copy of the game on VHS somewhere in my collection.
Lets hope for a great student turnout. Would love to hear some "Who's he, he sucks" chants or break out the oldy but goodie, reading of the Kaimin while the opposition is being announced. Those are all in my arsenal from my years in the late 90's as a student. I'm old, and I know there are better things to do at games now... I'd even take a "We...will...win chant..."
