Griz @ UW tickets question

Sorry if this has been asked..

I was looking at the UW site for tickets to that game and I was literally floored by the prices. Costs almost as much as going to a Seahawks game.

Now the only link I can find is for season tickets...

Anybody able to educate me on when we can get tix for that game? It'd be a shame to have the Griz visit where I live and miss it. I just missed the track team because I wasn't paying attention, I won't miss an opportunity to get football tix.

Thanks, all.

Go Griz!

They are high because UDub chose to rebuild Husky Stadium to resemble an NFL Stadium feel. Husky Stadium boasts some of the most modern amenities in all of college football, but, the fans are paying the price. It's a sweet place no doubt, but, I have heard it's not nearly the atmosphere the old Husky Stadium was, and the prices, not only for tickets, but for everything inside are some of the highest in NCAA. Griztix will get their allotment of tickets, but, expect those to be pricey as well.

A few years back when we played Tenn, I didn't feel like going cross country for the game. Keep an eye out on Craigslist for tickets from season ticket holders who won't want to go.
We bought two tickets five rows up on the forty five for the EWU game for only $100 for both. It will be the same for this game.

I'm sorry, did you put words on the screen? My eyes never made it that far up...

Yes...

My brother, (who lives in Seattle), got me 4 tickets for $280 on Stub Hub. That was a couple of months ago so I'm not sure what they're going for now. He said they were in a "fairly" good area of the stadium but didn't specify.

The economy in Seattle is absolutely BOOMING.

So I am not surprised by the upgrade to the stadium, and thus the increase in prices.

When someone flipping burgers is making 15 dollars an hour i'd imagine things would be expensive over there.

Yeah, that's not so much the reason.

NOW you're talkin!!!

I went to Husky vs. Idaho game last year. Despite the great team, the place was far from full......it holds 70K and official attendance said 60K...I'd say closer to 50K sat in seats.

Griz will bring lots more than Idaho did but I'd expect many UW season ticket holders won't make this game. There should be easy and cheap tix available outside the game that day.

I talked with the ticket office today. Apparently, the tickets for the Washington game will not be available until sometime in August.

Yep, but just to clarify for some, Washington tickets are ON SALE now, just won't be available for pickup until August. :thumb:
