I don’t watch a ton of tennis but I do try to pay attention to the program and its successes. The Griz took down the Cats pretty easily yesterday for a Brawl of the Wild win.

Griz Tennis takes down Cats for BOTW win

3 years in a row they beat the cats. Unfortunately we weren’t able to win the regular season title because of a really flukey injury that occurred last week against NAU. That said the Griz will be the 2 seed at the conference tournament next week and have a very good chance of going back to back. Just gotta stay healthy which has been a big problem for this team this year.

somewhere so great to hear about our tennis team following up on their success from last year. : ) !!!- Hopefully with their success, our new Prez in Main Hall, Coach K's love and enthusiasm for our gridiron 
kids plus his 30 + year levels of experience of coaching at the highest levels of college football, the worm is starting to turn in BOTW competition starting with our men's tennis team in '26. : ) !!!

Right now the guys currently find themselves down 1-0 in the match after they dropped the doubles point for only the second time all year. Ironically the first time we dropped the doubles point was also to Idaho State during the regular season. Not sure why we seem to struggle with their doubles. We'll need to win 4 out of 6 singles matches now to win which we're certainly capable of. I'll keep everyone posted!
The match is currently tied at 3-3 with one court still in play. Duncan McCall is down 6-5 in the third set. He won the first set 6-4 and dropped the second set 7-5. He was up 5-3 and the let the kid back in it. He needs to force a tiebreaker or the Griz are eliminated.
And we lost 4-3. Unreal! What a gut punch. A team that returned basically everybody from last years title team failed to reach the championship match. Feel awful for the guys as they endured so many injuries all year and nearly persevered through it all. The only 2 matches all year that we lost the doubles point to was ISU, and it proved to be costly today. This ones gonna sting for a while and now we graduate our top 2 players on the team! Tragic!

Thanks for the update even if it's disappointing news.And we lost 4-3. Unreal! What a gut punch. A team that returned basically everybody from last years title team failed to reach the championship match. Feel awful for the guys as they endured so many injuries all year and nearly persevered through it all. The only 2 matches all year that we lost the doubles point to was ISU, and it proved to be costly today. This ones gonna sting for a while and now we graduate our top 2 players on the team! Tragic!
