Griz Tennis destroys Cats

While we wait for the Selection show to start at 3:30, I decided to pull up the ITA Men's Tennis rankings and take a stab at who the Griz might draw. Just like all Olympic sports tournaments, it's a 64 team field, the top 16 teams will host first and second round matches at their campus, and the first and second round matches are regionalized. Just like how the FCS Playoffs used to be. Obviously it's never a forgone conclusion that you're gonna get placed on the West coast, but looking at the west coast options, I'd say we can boil it down to one of these four teams: Stanford (5), San Diego (7), Arizona (10), and Cal (11). Any one of those would obviously be a really tough draw but of those options, I think I would prefer San Diego. If you can avoid the P4 programs, then I think you'd take that. The Griz went 1-2 against teams from the WCC this year defeating Saint Mary's but losing to Gonzaga and Pacific (56). Should be interesting to see how it all shakes out!
