GRIZ team camp

On a separate note, Bryden Boehning played approximately 4 min of the first game and maybe 6 min of the second game. Maybe you should know more about what is going on before you decide to post negative things about the players. You have obviously never seen him play.

On a separate note, Bryden Boehning only played approximately 4 min of the first game and 6 of the second game. (for reasons unknown to anyone but the coaching staff) Hmmmm, 4 points in 4 minutes = 1 point per minute = 40 points per game. You should be excited. You have obviously never seen him play and should know all the facts before posting negative comments about the players.

Great Falls was missing their best player as well. The kid from west is Betcher. West also has spoja kid too. It will be hellgate West Skyview and darkhorse is GF. They killed everyone in Helena.

Hell yeah, a hoops fan. Welcome to Egriz :thumb:

Talked to some of the parents of Great Falls High at Griz camp this weekend Brendan Howard was not there. Apparently pretty sick this weekend so coach (dad) had him stay home. He would probably have made a difference is only going to be a sophomore but is 6'4" already and very talented.

It's well-known that Montana kids have no skills, no heart, no character and no work ethic. That's why they call it the "show me" state! Losers.

if you're going to call me pathetic, you better get in line. that's my wife in front of you.

but if you're such a fan, why didn't you come on to enlighten us? i thought it strange that in the most notable basketball all-star game of the summer, against the wyoming all-stars, in a game where we have a major signee playing, there was no comment whatever about the game. zippo. not hearing in advance from you, i had no info to go from except the box score. i'd read a big piece about him in the billings gazette, then he shows up in the box score with four points.

so why did he play so few minutes--injury? coach's decision? and have you seen him play? what can you tell us about him? i'm sure many on this board would be eager to know.

My question as well. I don't understand why the only D-1 BBall scholarship player from Montana attending either UM or MSU played so sparingly. My guess is he is a bit of a project with a lot of raw potential. Through excellent coaching, weight training, and practice against quality bigs he will have a chance to be a good player. Still, I was very surprised (disappointed really) that he didn't make a bigger splash in this game. He could possibly be slightly injured or out of shape as well. Curious to hear MTRULZ response. Thanks in advance.

  all name calling aside, does anyone know the story behind Bryden's extremely limited playing time?

I wish I knew. I really don't see it as a big deal. These days all star games are all about the guards. Even the best big men can be phased out at them.

If he's not hurt then maybe you can chalk it up to him inflating his HS stats against inferior opposition. I mean if he can' t get minutes against some marginally athletic opposition (i.e. Wyoming All Stars) even in an all star game, the coaches should be trying to highlight a homegrown recruit. I'd get my worry hat on too.

Seems to me that Oliver Carr of Bozeman was hands down the best player on the Montana team. He's a 6'6 post scoring 23 & 31 with double digit rebounds. He's going to Carroll, but I don't believe the Cats or the Griz offered him. I don't know much about Bryden Boehning, but I wish that the Griz would offer the BEST players in the state a scholarship, not just the tallest. He's a great student, humble, and a very good tennis player (think footwork). Carr will be a Frontier Conference force.

I am from Laurel so watched Glendive quite a bit this year. Was not impressed with Bryden at all. He was always the biggest player on the court but usually didn't act like it. The tall kid from Central, can't remember his name, seemed like a project but much more athletic and with a higher upside. Maybe with some proper coaching Bryden will become a solid player but I just don't see it.
