GRIZ - Sac game viewership 1.5 times higher than the ndsu-sdsu game

To be fair...a lot fewer people have ESPNU than ESPN2, and our game had no FBS competition.
I don't know how ESPN determines which schools get games on ESPN2 vs ESPNU, but I find it ironically funny that Montana was given the Friday night timeslot on ESPN2 with no competition over #1 NDSU @ #2 SDSU. It would appear that ESPN felt Montana would draw larger viewership numbers than if NDSU and SDSU's game was in that same slot.

You need to learn to be more negative and look for the bad side in everything. Ha. I think it's funny how some of the neggies try to justify their negativism by claiming they are just being objective (when in fact, most of us can see that they are just being negative and not being objective at all).

i suppose all the noise sac state made about moving up, having a $50 million dollar nil fund, etc, might have drew their interest when the schedule was set. they were in the national sports news a couple times, plus they added shaq in some role or other.

I'm sure you do have higher viewership. You have hope.

We don't watch because the outcome is already known. That's why I went to the LSU game. I will let you in on a little secret, Bison will win by more than 27 this coming weekend.

See, no reason to watch. The only thing that gets NDSU fans back to watch is when we beat SDSU in the NC game again this year. We all know the outcome but it's still a fun party

You don't sound like much of a fan then.

This is simple. SDSU’s President didn’t troll the NDSU fan base. That’s what it takes to win the viewership battle. 7th grade trolling and pathetic monikers for the superior team you have historically been owned by. Not that hard people.

Yeah context matters here. We played at 7:30PST/10:30EST. No other games on. Nationally televised on one of the main ESPN channels and as Hauck likes to say, the Griz were on in every bar in America.
24 October 2025, a Friday, was also the first game of the MLB World Series. The Griz-Pam/Panda game had that competition for viewership. The NDSU/SDSU, played on the following next day had the second game of the MLB World Series to compete with.

Just makes you wonder how much better it could have been, albeit that game started at 6:00PM MST so there was about 45 minutes of overlap between that game and the UM game, and it was basically over by the 9th inning. But I see your point.
