Griz position battles

You might have noticed me posting breakdowns of what, in our eyes at least, are the five most important position battles for the 2017 Montana Grizzlies in the fall camp thread. I think these five groups are worth discussing so new thread so they don't get lost in translation. We will have the other two position battle breakdowns by the end of the week.

No. 5 — Wide receiver rotation (non-H receiver)

No. 4 — Right tackle

No. 3 — H wide receiver

Real good analysis. Thanks. I'll feel bad for Ralston if he loses the job but it's gonna be hard to keep Thayne out of the lineup.

I have one question with the receiver rotation. Having 10+ to rotate and keeping them fresh is nice. What will it do to the QB/WR chemistry though? Your receivers and Q have to always be on the same page and to have that many different receivers to be in tune with may be difficult.

And what a good problem to have....two good options for one position provides quality depth.

question ??? was favors held out of the scrimmage because he is a known commodity or were the young guys just that much better ? really, favors should be on a break out year......

Really, this is about the heaviest and the deepest I've seen the Griz DL (DT) in many a year. Maybe ever. Besides which, three of the DL have FBS connections [Shaw (3-star recruit), Sims and Favoroso (2X State Wrestling Champion out of Miami,Florida - 3 time All-American)]. Be interesting to see just how well they stack up against the run and pressure the opposing QBs on passing downs.
