Griz picked over BC

By me . . . not exactly an expert opinion but some BC fans said no one on this board thinks the Griz will win. Well BC didn't exactly impress last game. Pacific looked the better team and just got tired and gave up at the end. While the Griz dominated a good Nevada team. So we beat a 4 seed handidly and they squeaked by a 13 seed, in my book that makes us the team to beat. So like I said I pick the Griz to win in a tight one after BC's big men foul out.

Getting one (or both) of BC's big guys in foul trouble would be HUGE for the Griz this game. As was said in the cbs sportsline article that was posted earlier "The other problem (for BC) is bench strength. If Smith or Dudley get into foul trouble, there's trouble."

Hopefully there's trouble for them against the Griz :P

I believe the guy on our Rivals board said that why should any of the Eagles fans pick their team to lose when every Grizzly fan on this board was picking the Grizzlies to win? It is not irrational for us to choose our team when you choose yours. BC may not have impressed yesterday, but I would certainly think if you watched last weekend's tape you would walk away impressed. Smith, Dudley, Marshall, and Hinnant all pose serious threats when they decide to pick up the reigns for their team. Look for BC to fight to the very end. UM has a shot at winning; They will not run away with the game.

I really feel the GRIZ should be playing Pacific today instead of BC. Pacific got jobbed at the end of regulation. They were called for a foul under the bucket that hadn't been called all night. Next they were fouled after bringing the ball into the front court but it was a "turnover" instead of foul shots.

I hope we rotate players like we did in the first half against NAU. BC doesn't have the depth to keep up at altitude. Run them all over the court, get some fouls on their studs, and we'll be right with them at the end of the game!

I'm pretty sure the first foul you are referring to was called earlier in the game on Smith or one of our other bodies, but either way, Pacific had two chances to run away with the game. No one team is clearly better when they can claim a ref call is the reason for the loss. Calls go each way, BC got some, Pacific got some; BC got the calls they needed.

For the sake of everyone who is tricked into reading your wretched posts: please don't include "we." You are not on the Griz and do not in the slightest way effect the outcome of the game. If I were you I'd get out out of my mothers' dark basement, get some fresh air and base my opinions in reality. That's sweet that you think we should be playing Pacific. If you knew much of Pacific and NCAA history, you'd know that they have made the Sweet 16 several times, including once with Michael "the candyman" Olawakandi and are responsible for several upsets.

Good Day Sir

Not true. UOP made the Elite Eight in the '60s (before current coach Bob Thomason got to the school as a player). That is the one time UOP has gotten past the second round. The one year UOP made the NCAAs with the Kandi Man, the Tigers got trounced in the first round by those punks at St. Joe's. I remember because I saw that game on a little B&W TV in the equipment room at the junior college down the street from UOP. I transferred there after the UOP football program was unfairly canned.

is it really in the best interest of your post to mention the most overrated #1 pick of all time to prove your point?

"We" may not affect the outcome of the game.

But "we" have invested, obviously not the same amount as the team, but invested never the less. "We" is actually much more appropriate than most people realize.

Ask anyone on the team. They'll agree and are happy to have fans that loyal behind them.
