Griz Offer Kenny Daniels

I am hearing that the Griz have offered Kenny Daniels, a 6-4 guard from Sheridan Wyo. CC. He in town last week end, and the Griz coaches are really putting on the preasure on the kid to sign. He has one more trip scheduled this week end, but I am hearing he he may cancel the trip.

His stats: 14 points, 5 rebounds, 57% fg, 42% 3fg, 81% ft, 2 ast, and 1 stl per game.

Oh yea he is being recruited by tons of midmajors, Miss. State, Fresno State, UL Monroe, Tenn. Martin, Western Kentucky, Murray State, Drake, Montana to name a few. He has about 3 or 4 offers

Thanks MslaCat!!!! sounds like he must be a player if he has 3-4 offers on the table from some solid mid-majors...... He shot a real nice percentage in a solid JuCo league....if we get him lets hope he adapts quickly to the Div 1 game and is that super athletic 2 guard that we desperatly need......anybody know anything else on this kid??? I see he's from St. Louis....we have had 0 luck with kids from the south staying in Missoula.....hopefully being in Wyoming helped the adjustment period....... Does this mean were out of the running with Johnson???................oh yea did you guys here Larry K got fired??? JK....this board has been DEAD!!!

I think your coaches want to sign two athletic guard/wings. I think if they have their way they would like to sign a shooting guard/wing and a point, but if push comes to shove and the were able to land two players of Johnson and Daniels calibur, as apposed to one of them and a so so point I think they have the luxury of signing the best players, available. The goal of the coaches I believe is to get better defensively with more athletic front courts and also to push other teams defences.

BTW this is also exactly what I am hearing from the Cat coaches.

VERY interesting. I actually heard that the Cats were also recruiting Mr. Daniels, but soured on him due to some character issues.

It will be interesting to hear how he pans out.

I believe he is still at the top of the list for the last scholarship.

But who knows.
