Betcher from west also has a big sky offer or being recruited. Portland state i think. Kid at skyview has a shot as well
Betcher showed he has some athleticism and versatility at the GRIZ team camp. 1 game he was terrific, the next had minimal impact. I watched him a lot that camp. He is a quick leaper, with some good hang time, smooth looking jumper, can score inside or outside. I asked few players and parents from Billings about him. I heard he has many Frontier Conference offers. Also asked if he had any div 1 offers? I was told he had no scholarship offers, just walk on offers.
The Billings Skyview guard has Div 1 skills. He is a combo guard. I was told he is the 2nd rated MT prospect in his class, with Tinkle being #1. I did not get his name. He is quick, solid ball handler, good defender, and he can light up the scoreboard quickly. Unfortunately, when he does struggle to hit shots, he shot his team out of the game as well. I'd say 75% of his games at the cage camp were great though. Skyview has one hell of a Sophomore to be combo guard (will be PG collegiately). I think his name is Rayquan Evans (or something close to that), his father played for the GRIZ from what I was told. He took the ball to the hole consistently, drew fouls, and hit every FT I saw (he was getting to the line a lot too). The kid needs to put on a lot of weight and muscle though. That will come as he matures. He is one hell of a player though.
As for Samuelson, I asked about him. I was told he had other commitments and was not at the team camp. The Billings folks told me he is Montana's to lose, if offered. Now that the offer is official, I would be surprised if he does not commit to the GRIZ.
