Up with Montana, Boys!
Ditto :thumb:

And we learned a bit more about Coach (Dad) Stitt:
The interaction brought up difficult memories for Stitt, as his youngest child, Sam, had a childhood illness that required hospitalization as well.

"When he was six weeks old, (Sam) came down with RSV and we were in the same situation," Stitt said. "I remember walking in the hospital room and he had an IV in his forehead and seeing his chest going the exact same way, it kinda took me back to that time. As a parent, it's awful. It was nice to take some pressure off the parents so they could get their mind off of that for just a little bit."

"Awesome" is often over-used ... but it surely applies to what these guys did. And kudos to Haslam for making it happen.

Could not read that without getting a little choked up, AWESOME GUYS!!!!
Is there an update on the little guy, prayers sent.

Thanks for sharing this. Really puts things in perspective. My respect for Haslam continues to grow and Bob Stitt models good citizenship for his players.

Article in the GF Tribune today. He has improved somewhat. Has had to have numerous transfusions that have equaled 75% of his blood volume. Still no diagnosis, but have ruled out Cancer.

Dad is on Great Falls GSA board and a great guy. Has coached in Cascade and now Great Falls High. Has received well wishes from Cascade, GFH, and also Kalispel where Sampsons son coaches. Riverview elementary school in Great Falls is coming together to help with their other child who just started Kindergarten. Montana is a great place. It is a small town with really long streets.

Family asks for prayers. If you are not of that sort, they ask for you to donate blood as their son would not have survived if blood was not available. Last option is GoFundMe page his sister in law set up. He seemed reluctant to ask for financial help. Likely out of pride and humility, but both parents are out of work right now doing bed side vigil in Seattle.

Egrizzers and GrizNation let's all get behind this brave young man and his family and support them however possible.

Great story for such a sad situation. Really hits hope how the little guy was at the Valpo game healthy, then in Seattle fighting for his life a few days later. Very proud of the Griz for taking time to go visit him on short notice. Hopefully he has a great recovery.

Class acts, that's my only description. My prayers are with Troy and his family. I'll support that Go Fund Me.
