Come on folks plenty of good things happening with former Griz in the NFL why are we ruining a thread debating Wentz? Let's keep this to discussion about former griz players not bizon players.

Is a regular season non conference home win (in the month of August) against another FCS opponent the most impressive thing the Griz football program had accomplished in recent memory? I mean seriously that is all you talk about. f*** man they don't hang banners for that. I thought the Griz were supposed to be a powerhouse team in the FCS. Teams with expectations tend not to focus on August wins.

The games in December are the ones they remember.

Uhh you play it off like it wasn't a big deal that the defending 4x champs got beat by a new coach/new qb from a mediocre team. Also it's not even close to the most impressive thing in griz football. I can think of at least 5 more impressive things in the last 10 years. You yourself claim that the games in december are the ones that matter and the griz have quite a few good ones. Sure you guys are the greatest fcs team ever but gtfo with your arrogance. Fact is that Wentz is a decent qb, definitely over-rated at the #2 pick, and CDA is right... he got hurt. Stop making excuses for him. After a while he is just prone to getting hurt.

Ya I didn't like seeing NDSU get beat. They have lost to other mediocre teams during the last 5 years (USD in 2015 and Indiana State in 2012). I just can not remember an NDSU fan constantly talking about a regular season win against another FCS team like you guys do.

Are all QB's injury prone? Dam near every QB will break a rib at some point.

It’s because most Griz fans are desperate for any indication that the program is back to where it used to be. That is why some are so obsessed with that win (and Carson Wentz).

It’s also why we have so many cute and witty posters on this board. They’ve mastered message board banter instead of being able to trash talk about what actually happened on the field.
A Cat fan talking about Griz desperation is laughable.

Yeah, didn't really see him play in a meaningful way after he dropped an ankle at WA-GRIZ. Sorry if I'm misremembering. I wonder if he will be in action before Goff.

Not sure. Why do you care about Goff? Thought you weren't a Rams/NFL? Are you just comparing him to Goff based on your profound hatred for NDSU?

Maybe because everyone did so for months leading up to the draft. It will be interesting to see which one pans out.

Which one is the Cat fan?

Holmes gets his first sack tonight (the only one for Jacksonville) and 2 tackles. Tripp with 2 tackles.

Biermann got credited for a 0.5 sack and 4 tackles. Colt had a tackle. Carps didn't kick any tonight but his backup went 0-1 on FGs and also missed a PAT.

Rams still playing. Tru has a few tackles.

How Griz fared in preseason week 2:

Colt Anderson: 1 tackle (solo)
Kroy Biermann: 5 total tackles (2 solo), .5 sack
Tyrone Holmes: 2 tackles (1 solo), 1 sack
Trumaine Johnson: 3 tackles (3 solo)
Marc Mariani: 1 catch for 3 yards; 1 punt return for 12 yards
Chase Reynolds: 1 tackle
Jordan Tripp: 2 tackles (1 solo)
Jimmy Wilson: 2 tackles (2 solo)

Is Ben Roberts getting any playing time in Tennessee?

He got a tackle in the first week but no stats in the second week. Looks like they just got him in special teams? I would not know as I have not watched any of the games

He got some special teams plays early on and was in on the offense in the 4th quarter. He didn't appear to get any targets.
