Griz - Lumberjacks Part III, Saturday March 6th

Could someone fill me in on what time I can tune in on the computer (bigskytv.org is covering it....right?) next Saturday?

The Lumberjacks have played well as of late but don't seem to match up well with the Grizzlies style of play. Griz guards drove the lane at will this year and I see no reason as to why they won't do it again. The game should be closer than the first go-round in Missoula but with NAU's penchant for turnovers and tepid, at best, free throw shooting I have my doubts regarding their chances to pull off a road playoff victory.

Then again, on a positive note, it will be the last occasion to watch Anthony Johnson score 22-32 points and single-handedly demolish the Jacks. ;)

Looking forward to playoff basketball and the lead up to Saturday's match-up. This all makes me wish I still lived in Montana.

GO Jacks!

So...no predictions, thoughts, discussion, trash-talk re: Saturday's quarterfinal BSC playoff game?

Is it due to a Gri fan base with disregard for their upcoming opponent, sheer apathy, residual moping over last week's Bobcats loss or is the ongoing "fickle fans/heartless players/inept Griz coaching staff" conversation taking up all of egriz's time, energy and spirit?

I don't mean this as smack talk....just wondering why there's no chatter for men's playoff hoops?

Yes.

IF Montana is overlooking NAU they just might get their a$$es kicked. Even though Montana swept NAU with an average margin of victory of 18.5 points this year. With Waters likely out, MSU wins and that puts Montana right where we want them, in Ogden Tuesday night at 7:05 PM. If Montana fans were feeling sorry for themselves after the MSU loss, just wait until Tuesday night at about 9:30. I noticed while your all bitching like women there is no thread congratulating AJ on his unanimous 2 time 1st team All Conference selection. He's been a great, fun player to watch in the Big Sky. :thumb:

Yes.

Heh. Well, I was scared that my take on the silence was right. This doesn't pertain to everyone on egriz but Griz bball fans really should appreciate what they have instead of continually focusing on the negatives.

Thanks for being forthright, PeauxRouge.

Not sure why no one has posted a reply since this game ought to be a good one. The Jacks have been playing good basketball since the last time the two teams met. The Griz on the other hand do not appear to be playing as well as they were in January and early February. I think the team was somewhat embarrassed last week because they got beat in several facets of the game. Qvale sounds ready to go this week and that could be trouble for NAU. I would anticipate a closer contest than the previous two games but I think NAU will need a stellar performance to ultimately win the game.

Hate to admit it, but the moron had his last sentence right. AJ has be not only a terrific player, but a good role model too.

Also, no one apparently noticed that the Lady Griz won their first BSC tournament game against NAU. Congratulations Ladies!

The women's tourney has not yet started. The NAU game was regular season.

Women's tourney is 3/11-13 at EWU or SAC.

My bad. I thought it was tourney week for both. Thanks.

I hope you bet a boatload of $$ on msu and NAU, and lost your ass last night. Now you get PSU, who just kicked your ass, so maybe it is weebs that better not be looking ahead. I hope the Griz get you in the title game though. If the Griz play like they did last night, and the last game against you guys, then we can win the BSC Tourney. First things first though, Northern Colorado will be a test. Good luck against PSU, you guys should handle them, Lilliard is a load.
