Ruff preseason cuts for the Griz. Only 5 Griz made the 53 man roster w/ their respective teams. That cut in half the former Griz on rosters last year (counting Wags) and brought us to the lowest we've been since 2009. Not counting any practice squad guys, here's a year by year breakdown since 1980 of how many Griz were on NFL rosters and who.

Maybe after week 1 when salaries are not guaranteed. His vet min salary is working against him for what amounts to a 4th/5th receiver on the roster.

Rumor has it there were multiple waiver wire bids for Holmes...he's definitely gonna be on a 53 man roster this year. Only way to protect him....dumb, dumb move by Jags. THey'll regret it...

How will the Jags regret it? So Holmes eventually makes a 53 man roster. How does that hurt the Jags? Is he the next Deacon Jones? I just don't get these comments....

Well, Holmes would have to be for the Jags to "regret it". Holmes is a fringe NFL player. Nobody is going to regret anything....I'm sorry to have to inform you....
 
The list has been updated with Holmes and Mariani finding new/old homes. I was originally making this list to show how big our footprint in the NFL was and how long we've had people in the league only going back to '80. As I was waiting for the 53's to get finalized it was a but disheartening to see the Griz dropping like flies before the deadline. It's good to see that number climbing back up, which was expected.
