Griz Jersey

Any ideas on where I can get a REAL Griz football jersey? Not a facsimile like the ones they sell on campus. I'm looking for one that has the Big Sky/Nike logo on it, the same one the players wear.

I've contacted the people at the Big Sky web site, and have talked with the campus store and have had no luck.

Any help, or answers you can give me with this would ge greatly appreciated. Thank you. GO GRIZ!!!

I can't recommend anything specific, but if I was looking for one I would point my search engine to look up Starter brand name apparel. That might get you somewhere.

The NFL sells licensed merchandise, including authentic game jerseys through its on line shop, maybe the NCAA has something like that too. I wrote all of this without looking into it first, so think I will go do a little exploring myself. I have been thinking of getting a Griz jersey to wear at the office on Fridays and was thinking of the replicas they sell through the bookstore ... apparently they're not the real thing?

I did a little surfing around but didn't find much. I did see where the real official game jerseys run about $270 ... still interested, or will a replica do?

I found the most hits by pointing google on 'NCAA' and either 'shop' or 'merchandise'. Official game jerseys aren't as common as I thought. Most of the merchandise I found was of the replica variety.

TxGriz, Thanks for the info, I'm going to check it out. The jerseys they sell at the UM campus web site are facsimilies, but are a suiteable substitute.

I'd be more than glad to pay$270.00 for a REAL Griz game jersey if I could find one. Before I moved back home to Missoula from Tampa, I was planning on buying a Tampa Bay Buc's game jersey. They were more than happy to accomodate me...I had the option of getting any number and name on the back. Those jerseys were the real deal, same ones the players wear. Although I really love the buc's, the price of the product was what made me realize that I didn't really need one that much. They started in the $400.00 range.

Just a word of caution before you buy an "official" game jersey from Starter. The Griz actually switched from Reebok to Nike last year, so any "official" jersey will be a Nike. You may want to try Universal Athletics here, or contact Nike directly.

I am reminded of the commercial where the guy hides out in the dirty laundry hamper in the locker room and snags a few uniforms.

You might have the best idea yet. I've even talked with the Griz Equip Mgr, he gave me some double talk about them using the jerseys for three years, then they use them for practice jerseys, blah, blah, blah. So a trip to the laundry room just might be in order. GO GRIZ!!!
