GRIZ= Jeckyl and Hyde

WOW, this year's GRIZ team is truly a Jeckyl and Hyde team. We never know which will appear when.
QB play, regardless of who has played has been great and bad by all 3 QB's. Game 2 under Simis has me eating crow. I honestly believed he had it in himself to play better. Instead, it looks like we are back to Gustafson starting. Here is to hoping the GRIZ see the NDSU Gustafson.
Offensive Line play has been mostly inconsistent, yet again this year. How many years are we at with inconsistent OL play now?
Defense has been mostly good, but have been exposed against good running teams with mobile QB's. The DL needs to be stronger and bigger in the middle.
Coaching, I am disappointed at the inconsistencies we have seen this season. I will keep the faith in Stitt. I feel he made great hires for his staff. I honestly thought the OL play would be dramatically improved this season with Chad Germer returning to coach them. That has not happened. Maybe the OL talent we recruited the past 4 years has not been very good? So much of our offensive struggles can be contributed to inconsistent and too often bad offensive line play. It has hamstrung the whole offense.

The bright side to Jeckyl and Hyde, the GRIZ have 3 regular season games left. The good GRIZ team should show up for 2 of the 3 games, starting with ISU. A 6-5 record is looking very possible. Then again, who really knows with this year's team? Also the GRIZ will have plenty of experience at QB going into next season. Here is to hoping the GRIZ continue to land quality OL and big DT's this recruiting year. The GRIZ are in dire need in those positions.

I won't comment much on the Portland State game. I am pissed and disappointed. No need to depress GRIZ NATION any further. We are all facing the fact, this year's team is no better than an average team this season.

It all starts with the O-Line. We are seeing the reprocussions of Gragg's recruitment and coaching style. Good people, but they seem lost and very very timid.

Hard to believe, the GRIZ may actually have true and redshirt Freshman OL contributing heavily next season. Stitt can safely tell OL recruits, you will have an opportunity to play as a Freshman.

mtgrizrule....in general, I agree with you, however, Portland State is a team that displayed more talent and superior coaching, at least, today. We have talent voids in certain areas that must be filled in the coming years. You mentioned OL and I certainly agree. I would suggest that it is urgent we find two or three JC transfers along with recruiting freshmen that will develop in a couple of years. This OL situation has to be corrected as it has been ongoing for three years. I will mention another position......running back. We need a stud at running back which will probably have to be a drop down or JC transfer.
I also support Stitt. In two or three years, he will return the Griz to the national status we enjoyed for years, however, it will take some time and I hope Griz Nation support him in his efforts.
As for the remainder of the season, I hope we win all of the games, but the game I would like to see us win more than any other is the Bobcat game.

I like the Calhoun at HB. I agree we do need to upgrade at RB as well. I wonder if Holden Ryan could play RB instead of WR at this level? He was one hell of a rb in HS.
