GRIZ/ISU game 2 thread

PeauxRouge said:
Just finished watching the game. Overall a decent effort aside from the opening 10 minutes and possibly 3 of the last five minutes. The Griz were able to do what they couldn't against Weber in getting out in transition. Could have done a bit better on the boards. Glad they stepped up and closed out the game. Hope Coleman can reign himself in next game but am sure glad everyone else stepped up and got in the W column again. Here's to the start of another great streak! Keep it up Griz!

(BTW, really enjoyed their announcers, the were able to call a pretty fair game.)
At one point the announcers mentioned that both the Griz and ISU had 11 turnovers, but we had scored 21 points off of their turnovers and they had scored 6 from ours. We were able to push the ball. Also Cherry had 11 rebounds and almost every time he took off and pushed the ball the length of the floor with a bucket or trip to the line. Our lead of 14 points was largely due to a series of possessions where we took off down the court. Cherry is "scary good" in the open court. Our half court offense can bog down, although I thought our perimeter passing was good overall.

Just watched the game again at the Big Sky site & noticed that Ward emerged limping from a scrum at the 7:02 mark. He left the game at that point & did not return. Hope he's ok. He walked through the post-game handshake lineup... but still with a bit of a hitch. Couldn't tell if it was an ankle or a foot.

I just want to offer a sincere "Thank You" to you UM fans who thanked us for our call Saturday night against the Griz. Brad and I work hard at trying to make sure that if a fan brings a radio to the game, they're hearing the same thing they're seeing. If we think the refs blow a call...we'll say it, whether it was in our favor or our opponents.
I also understand that if Montana had lost to the Bengals Saturday night, your reviews of us might not have been so glowing...and that's the way it should be.
