Griz Football game coverage in Tucson?

I have gotten by with Internet game coverage when it was available, but I'd much rather watch the Griz games with other Griz fans in a sports bar setting. OK, I also enjoy a brewski or two also. arty:

Does anyone in the Tucson area know where one can/might catch the Griz games for 2012? :help:

Putney's on Oracle used to show the games. Call them and ask.

Get DirecTV and you will get 7-8 of the games on Root.

Dish Network has Root Sports as well. Appalachian State game is on ESPN.

Definitely Putney's. I watched many games with great UM alum there. Told one MSU fan to f**k off after the streak ended and he acted like a douchbag. But that was my only outburst in several years of living in T-town and watching games there. No idea if they still show Griz games after the last owner died. I "think" his family took over the place. When I was there, they had pretty good burgers and fries and the beer was always cold.

Putneys only airs Griz games if they are in their cable package. I've gone there to watch games and been told if it wasn't in their package or on ESPN, they couldn't air it. Apparently no satelite.

Wow, that's too bad. That must've changed when the owner died a couple of years ago. He would roam the tables with Griz fans and seemed to become a bit of a fan. Nice guy. He would tune in their satellite deck to the coordinates every week.
