Griz D would eat NDSU’s Lunch right now

On further review… can I just delete this stupid a$$post of mine? Don’t morning drink.

The Griz outplayed USD in every aspect of that game :thumb: . Right now USD is making NDSU  their jail cell girlfriend. That’s not to say NDSU might not come back since they are only down one score at the half, but… comparatively, if the Griz we’re playing them right now, they’d be eating NDSU’s lunch and shaking ‘em down for their milk money.

My bad… watching the Griz right now… NDSU would stomp the Griz into the turf. The defense looks like deer in PSU’s headlights, offense is playing as expected.

And yet all they have to show for it is 14 points. Relax.

lol...your world must be black and white, nothing in between. Have you considered that both teams are really good and would have their own unique matchups? Or consider actually watching the games in their entirety?

I love our D, but that's a bold statement. I refuse to say anyone can do anything to NDSU until proven.

If Stitt could beat them why can't Bobby? The key is not having to do it in the Fargo barn.

The Griz D gave up 36 yards to PSU in the second half. 2.7 yards per carry for the game. 10 first downs in the game, one of which was in the second half, I believe. 3.2 yards per play. O average per punt return. 12.3 average per KO return. 3 of 15 third down conversions.

The Griz D crushed PSU.

All one has to do to beat NDSU is force them to pass, shut down that run game and it's over. That's if your offense can score anyway.

  Yep. As simple as that. The run game that put up 274 against Drake, 283 on U of A and 356 today on USD.

THAT run game.

If I was a coach facing the Bizons, I would just keep it simple and make the choice to not let them score. Easy. Almost all of their wins have come in games where they score. Watch some tape and shut that down.

I would keep it even simpler and just make sure my team scored more than them. Usually that leads to a win.

That’s the trap they lead you into. They almost never win when they don’t score.

I was just saying. I didn't say that anyone could but, if they could, that's all they'd have to do. Yall jump to conclusions faster than growler sneaks a deep scratch in.

Easy killer. NOTHING is that fast.

I snorted my evening cocktail through my nose. Thank you for that. Side note for all who may be wondering: an old fashioned simultaneously burns and leaves a really weird after-smell if it goes through your nose.

Chris Collinsworth let us know week 1 in the NFL that all you have to do to beat the rams is stop the run and get pressure with 4 guys so you can play 2 high safeties. That’s it. That’s all you have to do

Every team at every level of football wants to shut down the run. Why? It’s way easier to run the ball then throw the ball. There has never been a coach that says, we are gonna let them run the ball so they don’t have to pass.

Wentz had 3 completions and was sacked 6 times, in the first half today. 9 sacks for the day. A loss for the Commanders. Watson out with hamstring pull for Green Bay.
