GRIZ/Cats Part 1

It's looking like it's going to come down to that last game in Missoula. Feb 28, circle the date!
Not so fast....Idaho State plays in Missoula on Monday.....gonna be a good game....but the Montana bench is really strong and it showed tonight.

You can put Cherry and Selvig on the bench for only so long, but in thee end both make some clutch plays to help sink the cats. Jamar... most certainly player of the game - great calm amidst the storm.

Haha, Tinks barely has a voice left. Good win tonight for the Griz, this was huge, ISU will be another beast of a game next.

Steward out...that really hurts....Selvig is in...here we go...maybe he can pop a 3pt....I am forever optimistic, but trust me, MSU now has a huge rebounding advantage with Selvig in...

Steward is a liability. :coffee:

Joking about Steward, right?

That was a fun game to attend! Yeah, the officiating sucked, it's no different than any other BSC game, what can you do? I know Steward didn't have a great game, I wish he had gone to the rack a bit more, his length can create big problems for the opposing D when he does. I'm really going to miss watching him next year. Jamar is tough as nails and, as long as he was in there with the young guys, I really didn't worry too much. I wonder if he will be able to keep up this level of play over the next week with all the games coming up? I don't see why not, he's been pretty consistent all year and could be considered the team MVP this year. I can see why Selvig gets frustrated with the fouls, he gets called for some of the littlest things, don't know if it's his length or what. Maybe it's the creeper beard he's growing. I wouldn't want to get touched by that, either. Cat fans didn't seem to understand how the half-circle works under the basket when they thought they had a charge early in the game. Can't really fault them, though. Griz have to thank Singleton, though, as his head was in the clouds this game. Couldn't hit a FT early on and at the end of the game with the time winding down, Huse screaming at him, he's just dribbling at the top of the key like there are 10 minutes left. He even turned to argue with Huse at one point, not sure what he said but everyone in the stands wanted him to get the play going. Thanks, Rod. Wish Keron and Henderson had been able to make more of their minutes, but they played pretty good defense at least. Keron will be great given time. Next season should be a break-out for him. He may go under the radar a bit, but I don't think we realize how much we will miss Art next year. He's so unassuming but does so much out on the court. Great win by the Griz! FTC!

Yep....if you read GrizLA posts prior, it will make sense.

Geezus. Those officials will still be calling fouls on Montana in their sleep tonight.

I knew we were in trouble when Mick got whistled for his 3rd and Greg Sundberg picked up his 4th right before halftime. Hell, I got called for 3 myself.

Really nice win. Essentially, that was Montana's "B" team beating the cats. I'll say this though, the cats are pretty athletic, and they've got some good hops. But damn, their shot selection is down-right awful. Brad must have nightmares about some of the shots they throw up.

Way to sweep Bozo Griz and Lady Griz!! Today -- like every day -- is a great one to be a GRIZ!!
