Get bigger- we need to bring in more size, but also bulk up the guys currently on the team. Scott Blakney from Idaho, who I thought had a pretty nice game against us Wednesday, is in the portal. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in maroon, but if not somebody who’s built like him.

Transfers- as I mentioned we need a big guy, we also have 6 available roster spots (and potentially more). I’m inclined to go after juco guys after Decuire’s recent comments on D1 guys. I know Decuire’s been reluctant to go the juco route, and I can’t even really think of a player we’ve gotten from a juco under Decuire, but those guys are team players. They’ve got something to prove cause they got overlooked out of high school, that I don’t think we would have a problem with any of them abandoning ship. IMO, we also need a guy who can take over the game when need be, and hopefully there’s a potential PAC 12 big name out there we go after.

More freshmen- we have one incoming freshmen (the kid from Las Vegas), but with all the available spots, let’s bring in a couple more. I’d rather not build our roster around transfers but unfortunately, it seems we have no choice this off-season, but we need to get back on a track of building this roster around freshmen, but we need to get older and we have immediate needs.

Retool the offense- I think we will see some changes made. A lot of times I think it just depends on personnel and I think the staff will get this worked out. I liked in the Weber game when we kept attacking the rim, that worked out really well.

I know this staff will put in the necessary work this off-season and we will be in good shape next season. Keep the faith. Go Griz!

Basically you're saying you want a complete overhaul!

No. I’d like to keep all the players that are currently on the roster, but as I mentioned we have 6 open roster spots. I suppose we could just not fill them but that just doesn’t seem the least bit smart.

I think I lost track of something here? There are 11 players on the roster and all can come back next year. Are 4 of those 11 players walk-on? I believe Freddie Brown III is. But for to have 6 spots open, there would have to be 4 non-scholarship players on the team as there are only 13 allowed for mens basketball.

I don't think an overhaul is needed, this team was too young but the talent is there. A true big is a must but otherwise this is a very strong core that just needs some time to get experience and strength.

Obviously we have a few scholarships but I think the only priority is a big transfer. If we add a quality big and bring back the rest of the rotation then I think we're a top tier contender in the Sky.

Ya I’m not quite sure to be honest. I was just trying to go off of the spots that opened up from people leaving. Falls, Gaskin, Satterwhite, Clarke, Steadman, and I can’t remember who the other player was but there was somebody else too. Not that I think we need that many players any way but who knows. We do need a transfer big though, that’s for sure.

Sounds like we need a 6-8 power forward who can muscle up, doesn't fancy the perimeter and plays well in transition... I'm afraid that line is going to be extremely long?!

All I want is a six-foot-eleven, 290-pound post player who runs like a gazelle, jumps like a rabbit, gets 20 rebounds a game, dunks a lot and shoots it from deep.

Is that too much to ask?

I'd settle for a 6'8" 260 person with an ATTITUDE

I think we have 4 schollies to dish out. It’s a rare day to have that many scholarships available, especially after a season that didn’t count toward eligibility and all the guys can come back. With 4 schollies available, I feel very very very good about a couple of the guys Decuire could land. And in hoops, 2 players can make a huge difference.

Also I’m really hoping this Amar Jakoh dude is available and will come play for us. That dude would fix all our problems. 😜

I believe there are only 2 scholarships to give out assuming Brown is the only walk-on and that the incoming guard from Vegas will be on scholarship. We ended the season with 10 scholarship players + Vegas freshman means there are 11 scholarships currently spoken for with a maximum of 13 allowed.

It won’t surprise if a couple come available shortly (no inside info but just the way of the world these days) but right now I believe the number is 2.

Gotcha, thanks. I was thinking Steadman, Gaskin, Satterehwhite, and Clarke were all on scholarship I don’t believe Henderson is. And yes Freddie on an academic schollie I’m quite certain. So one of those to the incoming freshman should leave at least 3 I think?

Your math makes sense. If you pretend those people were still on the team if would give you 15 meaning at the beginning of the year there were at least two walk-ons to get you to 13.

Seems clear Brown is one of them.

11 players on the roster and all can return. Brown is academic scholarship. If Henderson is also non-scholarship, then there are 9 scholarship players this year. Therefore, there should 4 scholarships of which one of them goes to the Las Vegas Recruit and 3 available to give to whomever. If Henderson is on scholarhip, Then of course there is one less scholarship available.

Good, I hope we get him. He’s good and fits the frame of what we need. He gave us problems on Wednesday and based off that current list of offers, I like our chances.

Should be good in the backcourt without any unexpected transfers. Don’t think we need any help there. Parker, Beasley, Vazquez and Whitney all return and from what I’ve seen Braggs can defend with the best of them.

A transfer big that can create for himself and others. A development big that can marinate next season and someone over 6'5 that is a slasher/defender.

A.J Bramah announcing his top 3 tomorrow. A lot of high majors involved. Bit of a long shot.
