Looks like the two teams I will be rooting for will both be in Boise, against Pac-10 teams. UM vs. Washington and USU vs. Arizona. Good luck to both teams, I sure wish I could go.

Maybe, Krysko and Stew will strike up a conversation about a home and home between USU and UM on the hardwood.

Go Aggies!!!!!!!!!!! and Go Griz!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't Utah State Joining the WAC like Idaho is. The Wac Champion UTEP, is an 11th .

I know Montana does not have a Baseball team, so unlike SHSU who has played Kansas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M this year along with Conference USA Champion TCU, but Montana should stay small.

But if Montana would have a better seed in Basketball. A trip to Taco Bell would not be a total waste of time. In reality any Griz fans who go, are just wasting gas and money. Save that money up for D1AA football playoffs.

texasfan?- what seed did Sam Houston State end up with? Still a little bitter about the playoff whuppin? :-? I assume the Sam Houston boards are a little quiet these days so you have to seek an alternative form of entertainment.

I am simply saying that the move up to D1A for football and Basketball is tied together. While Montana Folks may like Football in it's present state, in reality the week Big Sky Conference for Basketball hurts Montana in Basket ball. Montana has a low RPI rating. All the folks who are happy that Montana is not in the MWC, WAC, Sunbelt, or Conference USA, fail to relize those conferences have higher rankings in the Basketball world. Those teams in the march madness from those conferences are not the 16th seed.

What I mean by wasted trip, is that Montana is not going to beat Washington. I am sorry but the folks at ESPN and FOX SPorts Net would agree with me. All those who are going to the Taco Bell stand in Boise, should just save up money for football. The Griz should win the Big Sky Next year in Football. That is where the money for travel and tickets should be spent. No one is going to tell me with a straight face that Montana will beat Washington and Play Pittsburgh or Pacific in the Second Round. I am glad your team made it to 64, but I would hope that people would wake up and relize that D1AA Football hurts Montana Basketball. I would hope that Griz Superfans would push for a Move to another conference.

I agree Texasfan. Today's Dallas Morning News tells it all....Montana #158 on the RPI list....and the Big Sky number 30 on the RPI list of 31 conferences playing D-1 basketball. The Big Sky affiliation is a huge dead weight the Griz carry around as the class of the Rodney Dangerfield League. Someday the powers that be will wise up and realize that a change is waaaaay over due.

As for the DMN reference, after four days in Dallas I'm still trying to remember what folks find here to brag about. This place is super big, super flat and super boring! Dealey Plaza, The Southfork Ranch and the Arboretum...What have I missed?... But the people are nice.
